I find the images of the old 'surf cars' on the beach fascinating. Today, most are hesitant to drive on the beach unless they have a lifted land cruiser with mud tyres, maxx trax and a winch.... and a mate to snatch them out if they get stuck!
That said, I've done a bit of beach driving myself, so I do wonder about how some of these old girls went getting on and off the sand with their lack of clearance, if nothing else.
