Vaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllbury
Good shot Pup.... My Dad had an AP5 Sedan, then he bought a white VF 225 Pacer, like the red one in the background. I learned to drive in that. 3 speed on the floor! Held the lap record around Cromer High School for 1976...... I then had a VF Regal 225 for myself, followed by a VF 318 Regal and then a CH Chrysler 360.... Had almost as many Vals as Veedubs.....
Hey mate how's things? ...... yeah the 225 was a great motor , geez a three on the deck was rare hey - just about everything was on the tree until more of the foreign stuff came across , any others were bodgied with those horrible Speco boxes
Juuuuuuuuust about time for you to make the trek with Obs brother

now that is rare Obs
My mate at Coffs has got one, next to his HD Holden X2 Premier Wagon
cool old trucks hey
Yeah puppy, it's been around for a few months but I've never had the opportunity to look at it, I luv a rat.
The old lettering use to be clearer and it said that it once belonged to an Alfa Romeo dealer.
Finally got the chance to have a look under it. It was obvious that the bus reduction gears were long gone to slam it that much, and I expected full IRS.
But from what I could tell in the limited space I had, it was early type one swing axle because I could make out the old style inboard boot over the fulcrum plates at the tranny end.
Motor still looked to be an air cooled volly wobble flat four, but I couldn't make out a size or type. One thing for sure, there was no way it was still a 36hp.
I'm reasonably sure you can't easily slam the standard front end of a split window bus that far, but I didn't get the chance to look up there.
Yeah, must be, funny thing is, years ago we wanted them on our buggies, but in the opposite direction, Raised spindles.
But the only way we could do it with an early trailing arm was to cut and re-weld the spindles. No problem over in the states, they could do what they pleased, but the authorities here did not like us doing it on road registered cars.
I recall the ball joint guys had a factory option that was legal, but in this country they were like rock'n orse. Type 181 or Thing spindles.
You can buy drop spindles for them but technically they are illegal,I've got lowering blocks on the rear of my wagon which also are technically illegal unless the straddles are welded to the diff.Anything you can bolt on is technically illegal unless it has the ADR approval to fit that car or it is inspected and passed by an approved engineer,in NSW anyway, not sure about other states!...
That's a real early NSW plate on that to OB
Yeah it's same for Blowers - has to have a certified engineer's siggy , that won't stop the feds pulling you over though
Yeah Pup,no more blowers hanging out of the bonnet either unless you put a reverse bonnet scoop on to cover it,bit of a shame they look so cool and add heaps of horsesNothing is allowed to poke through the bonnet over 100mm,that's why a lot of street machiners are turning to turbo's or twin turbo's these days!...
The mate who bought the single cab splitty hassled this farmer at Glenreagh for 5years to buy it off him,one day he rang my mate and said come and get it,reckons he couldn't get up there fast enough
hahaha seen a couple used by brickies years ago , and there was a plumber in the suburb who had one from memory just didn't see many of them - makes em frosty

Yeah mate,a lot of brickies, concreters and builders used to have them in the early 70s,they rusted badly in the tray section though
