As per usual, expect to see insane waves and perfect winds on the Gold Coast in a few weeks. I'm off on an 8 country tour so get your new boards ready and rest up. It's gonna be epic!

I don't have a brand.

I just work for a big company that sells a couple of boards here and there.

Let's just say I'll be drinking cups of tea, eating baguettes, running from bulls, eating pizza, eating hash cookies in a cafe, drinking from a stein, and getting a supertubos. Oh and probably have a few sweet chilli fish cakes on the way...

I am the only one that thinks of countries as eating opportunities?

Mac, go the 12'6! When the surf is rubbish, you can still get out on the water.

Mac, forget the 12'6 and go a 14'

The 14' glides better, still surfs OK. I had a killer little session out Laceys last weekend on mine.

No real difference on the car or not, if cruisings your thing on the canal less work paddling as well.

The 12'6 in my opinion is only really good if you only want to paddle it in the surf zone all of the time. Somehow I don't think that's your aim.

14' is by far the best all round option.

yeah, could be, even that 14'er. look, if you plan to do some paddling in your canal and it's mainly just you i can't see the need for some race type board. you 've got know one to gauge against if you know what i mean. word is it stll paddles very well

i teatrea type psh is sure gonna surf a lot better on those odd occasions when you strap it on the car and head to mini lm

cheers

Mac has had almost as many threads devoted to his 666 question as his normal McT changing stick routine. Seems like the Prez and Scotty certainly have a few things in common

Mac, the Fanatic 12'6 x 30 in the ultra-light carbon is actually a very good.
I was amazing impressed when I whipped its arse into some great runners in a 15 knot downwind day. I flogged her hard, and the harder I paddled, the more she planed on those runners.

Good choice for cruising. Plus, it will surf micro waves. You can't go too far wrong. Pick one up second hard, and if you don't like it, just hock it.

Also, the x30 goes cheapish, because the serious racers are all on the narrow version.

Go a 14' Mac. I 666'd on flatwater for 10 months before I got a 666 for surf. Flatwater paddling is so much fun and fark me it's not like you are short on places to paddle up the Goldy. S*pping is just such a great all over body workout from toes, ankles, knees, hips, core, and upper body. Do it for longevity Mac.

Yeah, mate just got to pick up a paddle vest, rebreather and a bigger set of nuts. But I did get
a new fin for the noserider keen to try it out you reckon it will suit it

Good wknd to club a seal

Looks like it could get huge.... Although report are only calling 6 ft, I think it might be a bit larger. I'll try and get some photos if merewether is any good, although I'm likely to be boozed up most of the wknd.
