I saw that one after I saw yours, it looks alright to. Thought I'd save the lady sup bit

I reckon you got a good deal.

As for fins

You can get fins from Bennet, think they are DION, or you can get them through Soul surf in manly.

I reckon OBCT is spt on to start go a big single, somewhere around 9 -9.5 dolphin and a nice wide base for drive, the fatboy I have would be okay, if you want to give it a run just pm your address.

I knew you'd be busting my balls sooner or later.
Your Honour, I received the fore mentioned longboard on Tuesday 3rd October between the hours of 3pm & 4pm. The week following was encountered by large swell and cyclonic like winds which made my re-entry (boom, boom) to surfing rather difficult. Last week I made the decision at short notice to travel interstate to surprise my lovely mother on her birthday. I departed Sydney airport at 9:45am on Tuesday 9th October arriving at Sunshine Coast at 10:15 (local time). I then departed Sunshine Coast 10:45 am local time and arrived in Sydney on my return flight at 1:15pm Thursday 11th October (local time). I put it to the court that I simply did not have any farken spare time. And with respect Your Honour I am hoping to get out there for the 'early' tomorrow morning.
If it would satisfy the court Your Honour I would like to add that I am dead keen to get back out there and in no means making excuses.

The new one....templates are basically finished just need to check them against the boards I stole them off then it will be game on to finish the sanding. I am going for a tear drop concave under the nose. Just a shallow one.

I shall post some pics when I get the chance to work on it a bit more. In all honesty it will be next week sadly as this week has filled up fast already

ONYA Scotty enjoy,I guess you will have two issues, one popping up and the other not have a paddle to lean on/balance,will take some time to adjust.

Cheers SP for fin advice and noted.

Mac, the pop up will be the biggest hurdle for me. I reckon balance will come quick when I get moving. I am prepared for an embarrassing and frustrating experience but looking to enjoy the challenge - it's been a initially long time.
May the force be with me.

"Getting Back Out There"

There were 2 guys on the trip to the Maldives, who hadn't surfed for 28 and 24 years. They were great buddies back in the 70's and they had surfed heaps back then. They were as rusty as old nails on Day 1 & 2. But by Day 7 they had really found their feet again. Awesome! Like riding a bike... you never really forget.

News flash

It's just been reported that a southern beaches man is under investigation for soliciting sex from other men using the pretext of getting assistance with his wetsuit zipper.

He's described as male, caucasian, of medium height and wearing a rabbitos rashy with the words, " sorry for the snaking" written on the front and "sorry for dropping in" written on the back.

Police advise to use caution when approaching him, and if you drop your wallet, don't bend down in front of him..

Well my first surf in 17 years was fun although I only caught one wave which was a face plant due to taking too long to pop up. Surf was waist high and tide was full so not too many opportunities and where did all this crowd come from ?
I am 30 kegs heavier then when I last surfed and it shows when I attempt to stand up. I had a good paddle up and down to get as much execise out as I could. My aim is to surf as much as I can over the next month and looking for gradual improvement.
You never lose the surf sense and I thoroughly enjoyed my time out there.

Mac, yes the pop up is the challenge.
OB, I actually found a sheila to zip me up.
Ted, Yeh I'm that ripped.

Edit: Ted, re: Bra boys - that's funny.

That's a frikin classic octb, in fact it sparks an idea. Thinking of getting some rashies made up like that with 'Breezer Long boarder' in place of the rabbito's emblem. Sell them and all profits to go to the slsc's.

Anyone care for a new rashie, or any vendors care for a small advertising spot?

Would love , I mean hate to see what happened if old mate slipped and dropped her on his head .
I would expect the outcome for him would be death by suffocation ,unless of course he has a snorkel in his back pocket we can't see

, what a way to go

Cheers SP. There's a good chance I'll be out there early again. It was a great feel to just be out there. It will take time but I know I'll get there eventually. I started looking for that Mad Wax movie CMC sent me. "We want to go to Pipeline, sure Wiz"
One bloke says to me out in the surf today "Haven't seen you out here for a while". No sh1t, get off the pot.
