Shawshank was one of those once in a lifetime movies that hit a chord with a large majority of viewers.
I loved it and will watch it anytime it comes on the tele.
Not sure of my top 5 but Puberty Blues is in their somewhere

I thought the original MadMax was unbeatable & by the time Tina Turner rocked up it was cooked - wasn't all that enthused by this latest attempt but we'll have a gander at the newie and see

Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels was one of the funniest C graders you'll ever see

Natural Born Killers is a bit Oliver Stone hyperbole but I like it. Starship Troopers has a similar polarising effect.

I am a media teacher and reckon I know a bit. You mugs surprise me with your discerning tastes. All the movies mentioned are classics and deserve a watch.

In a movie snob way, Citizen Kane.

And, while Unforgiven is an awesome film, anything by Eastwood from then on is pretty impressive.

Snuff the ASL surfing film needs a mention too.

Saw it on Thursday, It was good but I didn't think it was great. For me it wasn't as "Gritty" enough as 1 or 2 And thought it was more like a number 3 type movie.
Don't get me wrong I still liked it but was wanting more grit and less Hollywood IE: Drummers and guitar player.

Anyway My top 5
In order

Mad Max 2
Mad Max 1
Riding Giants
Running on Empty
Convoy
