oh i wet myself laughing at this one....hodges doing a tv show lol...the bloke is sounds handicapped when he talks...and my handicapped mates make more sense than him when he does talk
dylan walker being screwed by souffs,i see salary cap probs about to surface if they keep him, they told him to look around for a new club, now they are refusing an early release
according to the media it was done and dusted, eagles need all the good players they can muster for 2016,bozo fulton has taken command of the sinking ship and is recruiting well.
congratulations to Korbs and his partner on the arrival of a new front row forward .
the knights are going to need him.
Burgess contract snag,NRL refuse to sign off on it due to salary cap,Souffs have to shed more players,Walker signs with Manly for four years.
Sadly I have to agree with the snake man that SB is a great player - much better than Gallen and still young - recall he failed in union early on so still has lots of years in the tank. He will get better n better.
Is he worth 1.5? I would rather have a JT than him at that price. But with the salary cap increasing over the next few years he is good value. Not outstanding but good. Gallen was paid overs as he was needed to stay at the Sharks to prevent further leakage.
Put it in perspective - if Robbie Farah can command 1mil then Sam is cheap !!! But you would want to be getting 70 mins a week out of him. Not two lots of 20 mins.
sadly i also have to agree with ted
but to add to what ted said. yes JT would be a better buy,,,BUT JT was singed for a 5 year deal to finish his days at the cowboys, the salary cap has lifted since those days and will lift again.
JT the #1 player in the game for 1.4 in this day is good coin BUT JT's days are numbered.
as for robbie,, he is a team lifter and he also has proven it , but at what cost .
its like what i said in my last post, who knows the real truth at whats going on in NRL clubs.
NO club in NRL wants to crush a player.
some have to realise with the salary cap different conditions apply. sponsorship from companies with no profiting from the club or the NRL
like this years Cowbee's land sales coming under question . .
in that contracted moneys can be bigger media commitments for that player for their club.
more work load, but thats only if you have the right bloke....cars are capped at 100k and so on so on.
And let's not forget the 3rd party benefits if you are a one town team against a team in Sydney for example. Or if you Brisbane then a one town City which makes the salary cap a little less of a problem. But let's not forget there are lots of examples of third party payments not being made as well
