What about any one of the Vouch mid-lengths?
Evo, Rolled Vee's, mid length fishes...
With Paul Hutchinson shaping them all you know they're going to go amazing. That guy is a magician! Got my first board from him in 1970 and never had a bad one!

The Scorpion will be great, looking forward to the ride report. On another note has anyone ridden a "Shiva" by Maurice Cole yet?

update ride report: I've been out on the scorpion a couple times, it goes well but really does like a bit of push with waves because of the narrow tail.

but I picked up one of Thomas Bexon's personal boards from his recent visit here and what I board I can't get off the thing!

The board paddles exceptionally, glides beautifully into waves loves a nice high line and is super fast. It really has been a quiver killer since I got it.

Gotta love a good mid-length, I feel they have come a long way from the first ones I learnt to surf on.

Recently passed an 8'er onto a mate, board was a custom that was made how I wanted and it did everything I asked of it. Sold it to fund a new board and now my mate loves it just as much as I did.

Looking at the above Thomas board the only thing I would probably change when I get another one is to get the nose pulled in a bit and probably mid 7', that Thomas board just looks like so much fun.

Only thing about my 8'er was that it was a tad long for tight waves and it had a larger nose which got in the way at times.

That looks like a really sweet ride... Very much in the Howard Super Mini outline... Have you tried running it as a single fin? I'd be either running it with a nice flex single or widow maker set up, i.e. much smaller side bites... That said, if it's working who needs to change it

That's my Vouch 6' Stand Up Spoon set up below, 9.1" Tudor Flex with sidebites...

I've been using FCS GL side bites in it with a Knost 8" Flex fin. Haven't tried it as a single yet. but hopefully will over the next couple days, Surf looks like its gonna be pumping.

Soft hull entry through to a single to double concave - Is 4-6ft offshore with 13 sec swell period on the points here so will give it a good run in some solid juice today.
