Rider 6'5"/195cm x 113kg (I gotta change that last number)

Board 9'6" x 19 3/4" x 23 3/8" x 15" x 3 1/2", Single to Double Concave, Dimond Tail, 1 + 2 fin set up

Would be 2" longer just under 1" wider and 1/4" thicker than my standard longboard.

Would be shaped by Steve Del Rosso in Qld.

It sounds a little like an all rounder CC, a performance board that will nose ride.

Is that what you're after?

Big bugger eh? I bet nobody drops in on you. At 113 kg you would probably paddle this better. 10'x 23 1/2 x 3 1/2 single fin.
Yours sounds good though.

Mac, The Redline is a great performance Noserider too !!

Canuk, you need to increase the exercise regime a touch... &

Get friendly with your local green grocer, and do your main shopping there! Away from Supermarket temptation!

Breakfast - cereals, yogurt, fresh fruits.
Lunch - Tuna & Salad, go easy on bread.
Dinner - Light Beer, grilled fish & salad.
Dinner Alternate - Eye Fillet Steak (literally no fat), with 1 chopped onion with olive oil, and salad. Alternate 2 - Make your own burgers from super lean mince, onions, garlic, salt pepper. Chicken Breast Burgers....
If you must have sweets.... Paddle Pops.... They are skim milk.

I'm only trying to help. Hopefully no offense! Definitely none intended!

Go easy on cheese. NO FRIES, NO "chain" BURGERS!

Vodka Lime & Soda is also a reasonable option.... Energy in Vodka, but no sugar/energy in the soda....

NO COMFORT EATING, NO CHIPS.

Snack on Cashews & Pistachio's once the scales are rolling backwards!

Thanks Daneli! Delete VLS !!

Canuk, no harm in adding a few inches for your height. Pushing out to 9'8+. However, 9'6 slots into most station wagons. 10'0 only goes into the bigger ones.

Dear all

When Crazy Canuk says he 113 kg, don't for one second think that it is made up primarily of meat pies and beer..

I've met and surfed with cc, to put it bluntly, the man is a unit and built like the proverbial brick out house.

Simondo - I know you were serious but I laughed through the post. Already shop at Harris Farms which has pretty good veg and organic or free range meat. I only go to Coles for TP and Soap and milk if I can be asked (lite milk if your wondering) or at least try to. Pushies getting dusted off tomorrow should get down to 103 with a bit of ease (I hope) should knock out a minimum of 38km + going to work and back trying to get it to a minimum of 3 rides to work a week. Chrissy didn't help and I still have Lindt chocolate balls left around (the red ones if your curious) and I have a pile of wrappers next to me as I type this.

I hear what a couple have said about the "performance/all arounder your can nose ride" issue with living in Sydney is that's what you kinda need for the beachies if you buy a true nose rider there's very few times a year it will really suit it, if I lived 3 hours north or 3 hours south I'd own a true nose riding log and a performance board, I snapped my 9'2" Dane Thomas nose rider couple years back which had really soft rails. The hope is to be able to run it as a single fin at a proper point break or if its slower/softer/fatter and 1 + 2 locally it also needs to work for the local Manly comp. Main issue is my current board isn't big enough for me to nose ride, some of that's my positioning and speed which I know I need to work on (hoping the single to double willd help with the pace as well).

I'm still tossing going up to 9'7". I'm worried that over 9'6" will be a bit harder on the beach especially at Manly I think 9'8" is out but 9'7" would be passable. I'm also planning on taking a bit of rocker out compaired to my standard performance longboard. I'm kinda looking to the redline as I get this sorted, spoke to the guys at McT last time I was up that way and they agreed that you could ride a redline down here but it wasn't the best suited board for my local condidtions so I'm trying to find that happy medium.

Yar there be a few meat pies and beers in there at the moment. I weighted a bit less last time you saw me - did you get out at Collaroy on Sunday? Pretty sure I should have gotten in the car for an early surf there but didn't get there surfed a bunch of slop and straight handers in Manly instead.

Yep, Collaroy on Sunday morning, it was pooy.

North end of longy on Sunday arvo was even worst, I got about 3 tidlers and then it was like someone flicked a switch and they were all gone.

me and this other dude on a Jackson sat out there for another 20 minutes before we concluded that it was all over for the day.

The same break on Saturday was OK.

It's weird, have you noticed that whenever anything works lately, there is often a really violent shore dump? I think it's because that's where all the sand from the banks has been deposited because of all the small swells.

Yes mac, but don't worry about shocking cc with that facial problem you have, I've already warned him.

You know, the one they made a documentary about when you were a kid???

You know what? I think you're right

Just to get slightly back on topic, if only for a second or two.

Yes cc, I guess you're right, a pure nose rider may not be the hot choice in Sydney. We usually don't get to be that choosy about what kind of a wave we can score.

Still haven't ruled it out either mac depending on how the astro surfs..

Regarding beers, I pretty much only drink 'Big Head' now, zero carbs, zero sugar & only 88 calories/stubbie. Then there's Bear Bare yum.

Yes, an AFL Ruckman can be 6'5 and 103kg, and in prime condition. So 10kg on that is actually not that much.

Crazy Canuk, you must have some power when pulling a paddle through the water too! What's the stamina like, and have you tried a Race SUP??

Stamina - like a horse that got flogged to hard in the first 100m. Going swiming tonight.

I have a DC 14' with removable rudder (this years design) in the shed that needs more use. Did one downwind race, was ok, issue with Sydney is you get a lot of rebound. Working on it a bit more in the next while, really enjoy paddling made a couple of local picture mailouts a couple times with the early paddle.
