Surely that is not reality though I surfed there first time in early 2000 and the car park was packed at 5am. Surf forecasting websites were in their infancy !

Winki 6'+.

Bells big.

Both are more a worry being competitive with the crowds than physically handling the wave.

And used to dream about Easter Reef but I fear that may be passed me.

I have seen it with all those prerequisites at Noosa. But there was absolutely no waves either, otherwise it's just a dream.

I will be attempting to tick the box that says Noosa some time late this year, but only because I feel I must.

I'm harbouring no illusions about crowds or quality, it will be a mid week lighting fast visit and provided I get one wave I'll be happy to get on my bike and head back to more inviting and less crowded places down south of zee border.

Bugger that Col, the 4.00am days are long past. Can't fight with the crowds anymore.

Tasmania Points, Sri Lanka and remote Vancouver island in Canada.

I have this weird romanticism with cold water locations at the moment. A super secluded cabin in the woods on a snow covered beach with perfect empty right peelers... Weirdly sounds like a good time.. No one around for miles, surfing for as long as possible then relaxing in front of the fire!

Got a few
Raglan
J-Bay - Uncrowded
Small 3-4 foot G-land

Planning a Trip from San Diago along the Cali coast up to San Fran mid 2017, so also hoping to surf some spots like Malibu, Rincon and a few more along the way.

But ATM will settle for anything uncrowded.

It sure does. Seen some super fun looking footage at 1.5 over head. Looks lovely. Would still be heavy but not kill ya heavy. Lots of friends have surfed it at that size and loved it. Re Age - its all in the mind anyway But I guess there will be a time when the moment passes me by so I just want to get there before that point.

J-Bay is another on my bucket list as well Locky - Raglan - spent 4 years there so have that one well covered

LL / Tractor Guy - seen some other pics that looks similar saying it was Caloundra Bar.

leashless - you should add Chile to your list - some super nice waves over there and very cold water
