Nice colours/designs hey!? I like them. Would also look good in Mac's Black & Red Stripes. Or grey & red... dark grey & red.http://www.mctavish.com.au/surfboards-buy/performance-longboards/screwdriver
Hot Buttered did screwdriver tails in the late 70's from memory and even called it the screwdriver. Not sure I really like the look of this one. That parallel plan shape looks a lot like a traditional board but that hip with the sawn off square looks a bit off. Not doubt theres been the R&D gone into it and it works but its not McT's most attractive effort imo.
It does have "The Hoff" look to the template!
BUT I'M TALKING ABOUT THE COLOUR COMBO!
I really like the colour design... but probably on a different board... maybe...
HEAVY Hips!!
Forget the hips!
I mean those colours on the EvoII...
Blue & White hoops, same as Geelong Footy Club!!
3 Premierships in a recent 5 year period... good effort that!
So if its colour that you like please state at the outset to save us having to do some digging on what they are all about - from the look of it both you and Mac and Asea (by extension) have this board completely covered in yr quivers.
An all-new model for 2013 the Screwdriver takes some great design elements from both modern and tradition longboards and packages them together in a contemporary form. The rocker is flat through the front half of the board for fast trimming, with a slight flip in the tail to slow things down as you head for the nose. The pronounced hip in the tail template gives a positive pivot point between your feet, so the board feels lively off the tail. Add a softer, more forgiving rail profile, and an edge in the tail, and you've got a great all-rounder best suited to small-mid size waves, for riders of any ability.
Technical Features
- Flatter '07' rocker profile
- Hipped Square tail
- 70/30 rails to edge in tail
- Vee/Double concave tail
- Shallow single concave nose
- Gloss/Matte combo finish
- Solid 6x6x6oz lamination
Ted... First two words in first post... "Nice Colours"
I mean Colour, as in Colour Design or Colour Pattern...
Yes, the "design" word threw people off!
Classic - it was the design word that got me!!! and its probably "throw people off" not "through off"
yes you are correct as threw does refer to the past tense of throw - so please ignore my previous effort at correcting your english
Thats what I was talking to them about Lacey, they said too many boards in the range and it would confuse people,I said take it from me the mac model will be a winner.
edit new model name--mc hammer my old nick name
heavy hey
The Screwdriver - the colour stripes on the tail are done Gloss, and the rest of the board in clear/white is in sanded/matte finish. Sounds very interesting.
As I said, you could probably order this finish on any board in the range!
I'm sure they are doing the artwork on the tail area for a reason.
When was the last time you picked up a scewdriver in the shed and
said man this looks awesome
