Still small here this morning but should build significantly as the day progresses and should be 6ft plus by tom - winds not looking that flash sadly - but should be able to find something to play with.

morning TB - its like Wellington here today sadly....blowing 35 knots and raining every 15 minutes. Over it. Looks like I am heading up the club to play some snooker. Heaps of swell but nowhere around these parts is protected from the wind direction. Enjoy yr day fellas.

Morning breezers, well just after lunch now and just got back from a few hours at a surf contest, amazing how they make very average conditions look decent.

Julian Wilson and Parko through to the semi and women's final just about to start.

Great waves this morning, but heaps of tourists. Couple of blokes thought they had a great plan to take off on the shoulder with one bloke calling going right & the other left after I was already up & going grabbing his board & flicking him off the back, then plowing through his mate who was still paddling like a fool. Method just doesn't work so well on a left hand point break LOL...bloody Perth guys with their silly tricks

Then came home & sold my 6'0 firewire...I now have the cash for a new board, awesome day

Would have looked great on the go-pro Mick .nice here this morning as well but according to mr Willys weather that's it for the week .
Had a funny experience here this morning as well . This Little grommet has paddled out and sat beside me . I am thinking **** I don't want to hit this kid as he is getting in my take off zone , so I paddle away , the farther I paddled the farther he chased me . Must have thought I had the biggest board out there so I was the best one to follow around
.

^^^That happens to me pretty much every surf I go for...I sit about 30 metres away from where people usually sit, catch a couple of waves & then 1/2 the pack join me. So I end up moving to another bubble & just keep moving around between 2 takeoff spots according to numbers.

The seabreeze report seems more accurate...hopefully, its looking good for my local tomorrow.

One of our local's is moving over your way as soon as he sells his house. Forget where he said he was going, NE Tassie somewhere

That's up in Billboards territory , if he comes northwest he will be in my area .
Lot of locals here head over to WA to work in the mines , dont think there are too many going the other way .

Hope he has some good wetsuits

He's in his early 60's retired & originally from Cape Town. He reckons he's been a few times & the cold doesn't bother him. He just wants some uncrowded waves

A little late to the party, but I had a very good morning indeed.

Surf in some clean 3 ft waves, but all the runoff from the storms made it look like surfing in a chocolate milkshake.

After washing off all the saltwater and dirt, headed to Kangaroo Valley for a SurfnTurf Scotch Fillet with chippies. Yum. Not a bad morning.
