Why is there so much emotion after the race has been run? Has it been that they have not been taught to lose? Is expectation too high? Is failure frowned upon? It's a real shame I reckon that you can win a silver medal - the 2nd best person in the world at that event and you cry because you feel you have let people down. Jeepers - I think they should be so proud of their efforts and be jumping for joy. I am mighty proud of their performance - no doubt in days later they will look back on their tremendous sense of achievement - its just a shame they do not do that immediately. I recall the joy when Sally got a silver at the last games - her joy was fantastic to watch. I can see why one of those male swimmers may have been annoyed but if you are going to talk yourself up make sure you deliver
