Some great shots mate.
How's that drainer barrel ?
What was was with the boat on the Reef ?
Thanks for sharing
Cheers bro
That boat is the yellow G'land boat on the 27th July 2015, the start of the so called "swell of the decade". It waited for a break in the sets & charged out the Kuta reef channel & was hit by 2 waves like this which broke out the front window. People were injured & it had to come back in to get them to hospital. I was out the front of the Ramada Bintang talking to one of the local boat blokes who was taking a day off due to the dangerous conditions. The waterproof camera I took the pics with died at AP rights about an hour later when I was taking footage from the shoulder & had to duckdive a big wide one.
The drainers that day are still the best waves I've had in the last few years, its East coast Bali January 2014.
Are you a Nulla Boy SA.? or do you just surf there.
Noticed a few distinctive landmarks that brought back some long ago memories.

Parents both from Woolooware and grandparents were there (Woolooware) until they passed in the mid '90's.
I grew up in Kareela and moved to Cronulla in 1991 as a 21yo and lived there until last year (with a 5 year stint in Engadine and Helensburgh between 2004 and 2009).
Now 7 minutes up the road (out of unit living) with kids etc
Not many days I'm not there surfing, riding my BMX, coffee snobbing or eating out.
Dawn Session on the 7'6 today followed closely by the Grand Opening of Bianchini's at Elouera Beach before Bec took the SUP out on an empty left ??
Great Job Lads, some great captures there. I really love seeing images of real surfers, surfing real waves. so much more essence in my opinion.
Well done!

Some shots from this week below.
Should be be some fun the next few days and Climber is down for a few days to enjoy some sothern comfort
Yes, the areas south of Sydney are a very nice part of the world, I don't go there often enough and when I did, it was never to surf, I figure I was missing out on a lot of what the place has to offer.
it's got a different feel to the north coast, and I think it's a lot less developed.
I hope we do that February road trip.
Cool pics mate, looks like ya's did the back road from Stanwell Tops to Waterfall, done that one many times

I'm planning it.
Climber had his first Point experience yesterday and man did we have fun
To his credit, backhand on a longboard there is no easy feat.
Only small but on the bigger boards, some nice faces and Climber met the reef which made me smile
Thanks for the great images Lukie.
That red sunset is a great shot
Sunrise over this side mate
LMAO....Doh!!!
The swell kicked a touch for Grand Final Day (Sunday) and Climber got another shot at Point.
I'm thinking he likes it just a touch
......some 2nd reef walls, 1st reef bowls and coffee with my family and friends; all before 8am.
Monday and the swell faded away so off to the National Park for some SUP time.
Climber's first SUP experience and another convert for some flat water fun and fitness.
....and so ended Graeme's long weekend visit; super fun.
MASSIVE thank you to SA and Mrs SA for the weekend ..was really what I needed ... Beers, Beans, Boards and Brine ... thanks SA
