Gizzie you will need to check what planes air nz use and see their baggage limits. Most planes you can get a board like that on as long as it's not Jetstar. I took a ten footer this year on Virgin no worries.

When you thinking of going ? Give me a rough month and I can tell ya where to go and play

October to November......not overly fussed about wave quality (but want waves of course) if it means less surfers.......666 friendly waves away from the night life

Sanur has your name all over it Gizzie. Some great waves at that time of the year and with your 666 you can paddle out from the beach. Nusa Dua also good in those winds but you will pay more at most spots. You can get a nice villa in Sanur for $250-350 a week Or way more if budget no issue.

I spent a fair bit of time there earlier in the year and had some amazing waves with crowds not too severe at all. Lots of great waves further east as well.

I'm still worried about Lake Taupo......and there's all those cute little volcanic peaks in the middle of Auckland......Rangitoto not that long ago.
Auckland traffic is bad enough already without the whole of Auckland trying to leave all at once because a new little volcano is bubbling up

I saw them....its like a tidal surge bearing with it all sorts of flotsam and jetsam and scummy things going in and out and in and out again.......they have a few instruments around the place to warn of the next eruption....but they better have their bags packed ..." tremors are likely to give some hours to some days of warning about an impending eruption and its approximate location"......"some hours" aren't very much warning

This pic is a bit dodgy.......a kiwi school that has a "best dressed dead possum" competition......kind of like having a "best dressed dead aussie" competition really I suppose

registration night for the Tuauawhi Longboard Classic.......don't think towball will be there even though he pretends to be a long boarder and not a 666 person. Starts at 6 pm and I don't think he's allowed out that late
