That poo post is an very early contender for post of the year, Cobra. But maybe you should've called the dog Tardis ... cos he's bigger on the inside.

what a day,i had a meeting with a town planer this arvo and thought i might catch a wave this morning.

so i drove down to main beach with the dog, board & large coffee in hand as i got there a mate called asking for a report

i told him its chopped up and blowing so don't bother ,he said,,, send a pic mate.

i just finished taking this pic(i scrubbed the text)

i said to him i might get a surf before this meeting.

we are talking on the phone hands free when i said to him fark i can smell sh!t.

he laughs, then says in true mate form ,,did you Sh1T your self,,,and in tip OZ male form i reply ,,,,,,i must of

we talk for a bit,,then i said i kid you not i can smell SH!T.

i turnaround and look in the back seat and scream i will fark'n kill you slater.

my mate is yelling whats happen,, I've screamed slater has unleashed the mother load.

the mate said,,, take a pic i don't believe you.

So i didn't get a surf, i spent my fark'n morning cleaning the mother load .

This is a very good reason to shoot the yapping little farkerrrr. I had a dog once that did a quarter of that and he went to doggie heaven. sorry Pupster.

You are a better man than me Cobra if you didn't puke when you cleaned it up. Get rid of the little ****ter or at least no car trips ever again.

Farking disgusting.

That's gold Cobra, I have a similar story.

Whist away once on a hunting/camping trip my brother fed my dog (bull mastiff) some wallaby as a joke (it goes straight through them usually within 1/2 an hour). Anyway next day we're heading home and he said he'd take my dog in the back of his Suzuki Sierra obviously forgetting what he'd fed him the day before and the fact it had not yet exited his system.

An hour into the trip home with me following him in my ute I see brake lights, rapid deceleration with smoke coming from the tyres as he pulls to the side of the road, as I pull up behind him the two guys in the front and one in the back jump out with disgusted looks on their faces and swearing their heads off and the bloke who was in the back madly undressing himself. The dog had literally sprayed the entire back of the Suzuki including the bloke sitting next to him, I swear it seemed like about 10lts and was everywhere. Took him about 4 weeks to get the smell out with constant cleaning.

That joke certainly backfired (pun intended).

I have adopted the Paleo eating and bacon is allowed.
In saying that, I am lucky to have it once a month.
As you can see in the pic the Kook is eating the fat I cut off. I was limited to what I could eat at the breaky buffet this morning - roasted tomatoes, bacon, baked beans, watermelon, Bircher muesli and water.
No bread, coffee, fruit juice (too much sugar),bacon with fat, hash browns, etc like the old Scotty

I've been wanting to ask this question for a couple of years, how do we know what our Paleolithic ancestors ate?

Or for that matter, any peoples prior to the development of agriculture in the Indus Valley around 10,000 years ago?

Wikipedia came to my rescue and oddly enough the pup was pretty close.

but for that period between 2.5 million years and 10000 years ago, there were two things that were very clear.

1. They did in fact eat some grains and legumes, if they could find them and

2. Their life span was considerably less than ours.

point 2 should be very well known , and I did know about point 1 for some considerable time, because a grain called wheat and a legume called peas were genetically engineered by humans well over 10000 years ago.

how did they do it? With their poop.

the naturally occurring ancestors of both plants had mechanisms to ensure they were not eaten just as they were at their best. In the case of grains it was to shatter and spread their seeds over a wide area so that only some, but not all would be eaten because it would be just too hard. In the case off the pea, they popped and spread their small seeds over a wider area. but in the case of both plants, it only takes a single gene mutation to stop this happening, and that mutation can occur naturally.

So what, but big deal, let those dumb mutants die or be eaten, the rest of us normal wheat and peas can just go on as per normal.

somewhere along the way, those useless mutant grains and peas were eaten by our ancestors and many of them were pooped out and grew close to the camps of our ancestors. So when we started to grow wheat in the Indus Valley some 10000 years ago, we had to start with a seed that carried that same single gene mutation that made them so completely useless in the wild, but perfect for agriculture.

If that had not occurred in Paleolithic times, grains would have taken much longer to be cultivated.
