This morning was ok nearly 3 ft, bit crowded and inconsistent but still some decent waves.... but as Low tide was middle of the day and it got better..almost a perfect day
3ft of swell sunny day and a reef to myself for an hour ish and only shared with 1 other for another hour or so... If its a 4 ted it's as good as 4 can be up here... Perfect LB waves and even the SB guy was getting heaps. Plenty of wall.

So I totalled over 3.5 hrs today...

My arms are like noodles....

Now I'm going to smash a BBQ chicken and have an ale...

Does it get any better ?.?.?

I went and had a look this morning - some nice clean 2 fters coming in with a bigger set every 10 to 15 mins. Tide was too high. I did not venture out as I am not feeling well today. Them's the breaks

How did you go?

Today was a non surf day, drove past and had a look, didn't look as good as yesterday, glad I gourged myself yesterday, I though last night and it was more like 4.5 hours, no wonder I was buggered..

Today was pretty much as you said above, the occasional one but not great.

Looks like we might get a bump in swell height over the next few days, hope that doesn't mean the colder weathers coming back.

3-4ft, pretty straight but some were hitting the bank nice and thick. pretty hard for me as im only paddling and popping up with one arm(some waves the pain was worth the paddle. the bourton bullet loved it today, held on the walls with confidence and i really did need the speed to make some today. got two sick barrels that i wont forget in hurry. got about twenty beatings that i wont forget either. should be getting my new camera soon so i will be able to post pics again. now to get into some painkillers and relax i still have not overcome my fin chop fear yet(first injury to ever spook me) so some waves i was not commited.....**** i hate going over the falls...on shallow banks

Hope it's not too bad Chrispy. Good on you though for persisting with one arm .
Was suffering from board in the back of the head fear last week . Was going to direct into the bottom turn which as you would realize on a longboard is going to lead to a nosedive . Wifey wanted me to start wearing a lifejacket and crash helmet . Can just picture it cracked the kids up .
Unfortunate part of aging is the injuries seem to take a lot longer to heal .

Sounds like a good session mate, not much around here and the southerly has just come through in the last hour and blown it out.

Speedy recovery Ted.

Thanks fellas....pain killers have kicked in nicely! Bloods and urine tests have come back empty so they have sent me home for rest - sure beats being admitted for observation and surgery. I am only a 10 min drive from there so if it flares up again I can be back pretty quickly.

Some fun ones down this way today. Strong SW wind making for a tough take off and the swell has a bit too much east in it which is not ideal for this spot. Long waits between sets but some fun ones to be had.

well it was a disappointing trip to the beach this morning....was hoping that the swell had arrived in fury and the sheltered bays would be clean and nice....sadly not the case. There are a few coming into the bay but its not really worthy at the moment. Heaps of swell heading up the coast but not turning the corner sadly. The exposed beaches have whitewater to the horizon. Maybe later in the day it will pick up - fingers crossed.

^^ +1. Except we don't have a bay, it's just horrible here, swell has backed off but, Swellnet was calling for an afternoon increase and a bit more east in the swell, so you might get a few later Ted.

Combination of swells. Easing S'ly swell from 6-8ft at south facing beaches early, with a building SE'ly swell during the day to 8-10ft+ by the a'noon. Smaller 4-5ft waves at open beaches, rebuilding in the a'noon to 6-8ft. 3ft surf inside southern corners, also building. Surf size likely to grade smaller in the south. Fresh and gusty S'ly winds, possibly SW for a period on the Northern Beaches

The bay has cleaned up nicely - but the wind is far too strong for the short board - even the boogies were getting blown off the back. Sorry about poor image quality - there was not a lot of light to play with.

Nice shots Ted that was the same long boarder that was out the previous day.
Good surfer by the look of it. I'll wander out tomorrow when things settle down and get some shots around here.

yep thats the same guy - he has a real infinity for the tube. I will be down your way a lot over the next 6 weeks SMH - doing some work in Jamberoo, Shell Harbour and Kiama - if you are back in the water and fancy catching up for a surf let me know. I will be coming down on Wed nights and leaving the Sat night. Will have lots of free time for waves
