3 to 4 foot perfect beach break peaks with 4 others this afternoon....heaven. Was nice to get back out in the water for some quality waves...it was flat this morning and started picking up around 11am then just continued to build as the day went on. Sadly we have just had a southerly buster come through in the last 30 mins which could destroy things for tom.....but there will be a few spots that can handle the wind. Hope you got some SP - would have been good around your neck of te woods this arvo.

Ted, your local break is one of the best on the east coast - Lucky bugger.

Yeah mate, got a few....

Today is looking a bit. Think the southerly has killed most thing early up here and it is cold again. But going for a look now, hope you all get some.

Na mate, looked everywhere but no luck was back in bed by 8, just got up...
Glad you got some, Bit more protection from the southerly down your way, was a few guys out around town but looked like hard work, tomorrow is looking better up here. But I have a 21 st this arvo so might be struggling.... Oh and the 21st, Maori bloke, I can taste the fried bread already....

^^^^ hate them.... Means winter is over.

Not much around here today, few little ones to grovel on and looks like getting worse all week but maybe / hopefully some swell later in the week for my little trip up the coast with the boys this weekend.

Is that just a feeling based on the last couple of weeks, or some scientific correlation between the likely southern oscillation index, sea surface temperatures and **** waves on the seq coast???
