Nice baz captitan, that you in there

^ We surfed surf beach a lot too over summer. Mates family had a shack in stinky town old coast road. We'd crash there for the night & do a run with his old mans Subaru along the beach occasionally. But most of the time we'd day trip in a 2WD to the right of the Tjunc after the white picket fence

It's my mate in the photos Mick. Had many an epic session with that fella. His girl at the time took the photos and I'm pretty sure they were printed in the local paper. Would have been late 80s maybe 89?

Steamers used to be pretty good fun on occasion too with the right tide and swell direction when the Spot and Derrs were overcrowded.

Surf69....I can remember surfing The Spot for the first time with my older sisters then boyfriend and he said I had to pick up a piece of rubbish for each wave I caught. I couldn't find that much rubbish in the carpark :) I was 11 and the place was midweek epic and I was on holidays. He relegated me to the left to the north, breaking on the reef then sandbar. One of my favourite memories of surfing still.

thasts awesome Hamsta, good times. Yep I had to serve my time there before being allowed to come South to the peak. Was called Kiddies for a reason :) sometimes I felt like the only one. Glad you got it too as there were some epic littl rides there sometimes.

Not sure why everyone is crying, it's not like they are building houses on the reef right?

No no just wanted to make sure we can still surf there as long as we walk on the beach.
