The River has been amazing. Jetski plus Surfboard plus Lunchtime glass offs have equaled a very shredded up river

Yea have done more water skiing than surfing!! That never happens......

Just gotta be keen, there's always a few magnets around that will have a wave. All of these were on days when Rotto was less than 0.7m, chuck a rod and a swag in the car and go hunting. There was proper head high sets on both these days, get ya froth on.

Yeah, I'd be happy with that - but how far? Reading your posts you seem to be doing the pre-dawn 3+ hour drive...

It's a mission to be sure, like I said chuck your swag and a rod in there's worse places to be than over nighting on a beach when it's 25c minimum. Three hours is about the minimum whichever direction you head.

Cuck down here today,....... but we've had on and off days this past month. Thursday was offshore, head to head and a half but had to manage the crowd. At its peak there were six out but settled to a couple of hours mid morning with only two of us on a left right peak.

Finally broke (my) drought. 3hrs of waist high fun on the mal at LBB. Would have been nice if that Easterly dropped by half... oh well, beggars can't be choosers!

I think North will be too windy - it looks stronger than last week's forecast. On Sunday I could feel my eyeballs drying out!

I wish you luck, but I think the wind is going to ruin it... it was white-capping last week on a lesser wind. Sadly, not worth the trip IMHO.

Bays and points smoking?
The only point smoking was main break and that's only if you windsurf. Mast high bombs Yew
Long way to drive for SE 25 knots.
It's on again tomorrow. Keep the tooth picks at home and go balloon fishing

Took a gamble yesterday and found some glassy runners at a little offshore reef. Occasional shoulder high sets and minimal crowd was a welcome relief

Yeah I've been swimming a bit too. So boring though!!

I've been running with my dog to the beach and throwing the frisbee as far out as I can. Swim out and back with her (polo because it's more work, I don't bring goggles and mimics board paddle more). Do this 10 times. Takes about an hour including running time.
