Makes me laugh how packed my local was for an average summer swell. A couple of months from now there will be lucky to be 4 guys out on a firing winter swell. Still scored a couple of nice rides into the beach, nice to get wet.
Was pretty damn good down at a not so secret spot today. Wind was perfect for the rights, good tide, some real nice sets and not too many out.
Why is everyone having a sook? ;-)
agree Suba, had a spot to myself this arvo bit of wind but went SE by sunset, missed out this morning though but that was my fault.
yesterday lunch time
tried to zoom in so it is harder to tell where but i'm sure those from around these parts...know
Some fun little peaks for the longboard out the front this morning.
When are we gonna get our first real autumn swell though? Forecast for next week looks pretty small.
Trigg Seconds lumpy glassy hard to catch chest high rights (in the sets) off a rip - that the Clubbies were dominating on their Dolphin boards... got 3 or 4 shoulder high ones, but otherwise it was little more than 3/10 session.
Lot's of learners out and about - more than usual... lost count of the waves I had to let go of, or flick out early
Heaps of crew sitting bunched up on the northern reefs, but it looked very inconsistent and I couldn't be bothered to hassle.
Water was absolutely beautiful.
Nice surprise with a bit more size and shape than expected on a northern trip... nearly perfect shape L + R's... although 1/2 faded out pretty quick and only gave a short wall.
A bit of a crowd [pushed together by a club LB comp at the main peak] - but nothing stupid and no aggro - still tho' some DH's dropping in unnecessarily.
I was in the water at 8:20 and out at 11:00am and it was still good... I just ran out of go go juice...
Had a sundowner at a known reefy on Sunday, light onshore but the faces were clean and it was getting better as the tide was dropping. Eery paddle back to the boat though.
Surfed somewhere new for the first time sat. Had a break to me and my two bro inlaws. Was sweet! Enjoyed alot!
Surfed seconds for 3 hours today, got a heap of knee high fun waves. A few lining up all the way in. Small but fun!
Inconsistent shoulder high waves off the back of the Point. Not much else around - little chest high right just south of the P, but mostly just low tide close-outs. 15knt SE wind trying its best to ruffle the waves. Not sure if there will be anything left tomorrow...
PS - I don't know how you guys manage an early. I just can't get into it - then I have to rush around like a c0ck head to get to work on time - all for 50min and about 8-10 junky waves...
Good waves North of Perth... 7/10 shape, shoulder high average, more lefts than rights, with some giving a longish ride through to the shallows. Not too many crew, happy to share with no agro or drop-ins.
Very happy to be home with tired arms and a smile on my face...
