I certainly wouldn't even think about it. Some of these blokes look like they are lucky to be alive.....
Nup no fkn way Maybe when I was young dumb and fulla cum. Not now that I'm not scared to admit being scared. Older, fatter and unfitter also comes into the equation.
Relieved they didn't overlay the clip with the predictable mucho bravado heavy metal music. Getting over the "I'm so tough I've got a ****eload of tatts and this is my tribe" image. Maybe i'm just gettin old.
No chance of me surfing there or shipsterns for that matter, both look like they have the instant surfer ejection step/wobble in em , good luck to the guys that do surf them
which raises an interesting argument in relation to both ours and shipsterns as they are both paddle /slash tow waves
I am always a bit surprised that the MSB isn't all over them for using a PWC within the specified distance of other surfers/ swimmers and if you wanted to draw a very long bow........................................ ....as most of the tow guys are pro free surfers and rely on covers etc for renumeration/sponsors,should they have a permit from the national park to operate a business within the confines of the park or from the Maritime authority ?
Maybe they do, I don't really know ,(and nor do i really care as i am unlikely to surf either of those breaks) . The argument is that they are taking off way deeper than a paddle surfer, but i know i would be more than sh8tty if someone ran over me with a jetski at any time in the surf nevermind while trying to get a cover shot!
It'd be interesting to know how many get seriously injured out there...
'Ours' is where the guy from Bondi Rescue broke his neck (he recovered - in part because he knew exactly how to treat his type of injury - and he directed his own medical treatment).
Crazy sh!t...
that SMH article is classic Bra Boys of yrs ago. I loved the bit that their club member were only allowed to paddle in as towing is too easy......
There is another movie coming out soon of some of those fellas who have done well in life. I saw a doco on its making a few weeks back. It will be interesting to see how they are portrayed in it.
the sad part is our young local lads are copying this type of behaviour, the fighting, tats, and its MY beach and town SH!T
