I wouldn't want railing straps on the front, but on the rear they would work well I think.

I was thinking about removing my back straps; however, I was out in light gusty winds a few days ago and I found in the gusts the straps gave me more leverage to push against and the board was quite a bit faster. As a consequence, I will experiment with placement and see if I can get used to the back ones to squeeze out a few more knots of speed.

I unless I'm going into the wind and powered up, I don't use the rear strap. My rear feet are all over the place adjusting lift based on wind and boat speed. That said, I have the slingshot half straps on the back so I can just slide my foot into position when needed.

I have a jp 135 foilboard and starboard super cruzer foil . I am struggling to feel comfortable with my back foot in the strap and prefer it just in front and just inboard of the rear strap . The flight is fine and I have no issue getting onto the foil and maintaining height . Any thoughts on adjustments I could / should make to enable me to be more comfortable in the back straps ? ( ps they're already as forward and inboard as they will go )

I have a 135 hp. Full SB race foil. 70 kg I've been lucky enough to try several foils. Fanatic H9 V1, Fanatic flow, Axis. Np pinky. Np blue with carbon wings both modified with extended fuselages and standard fuselages, Manta V1, V2, modified aswell. Do have the chance to try slingshot soon. My first run on the SB race I could not get my back foot anywhere near the rear foot strap. 800 wing 255 stabilizer 115 fuselage. The footstraps are forward. The standard set up would be ok in 5 to 10 knots but most of the time its 10 plus knots when the wind comes in where I live. One run and i turned around and came in...Too powerful. Stabilizer came off and some washers placed in. Two in front screw. One in the middle screw. Nothing on the the back. Some surfboard wax to fill the gap and blend the stabilizer in so the bit that sticks out above the fuselage is more hydrodynamic. Worked a treat. Back foot in and comfortable. Using trigonometry I calculated that the stabilizer without adjustment measures -4.8 degrees. That's a lot of negative. Now measures -1.1 degrees. It does take a bit more wind or pumping to fly but way more comfortable. Also harder to fly through gybes. But more speed. I'd rather fly in control than worry about a few flying gybes. Start with one washer and watch your backfoot move back. Simple remedy without adjusting anything else . Just reduce the negative....hope that helps
