I just receive my foil Patrik yesterday, and is very different from my older Starboard SLR. Only a light wind test with 550 and 160 on 95Dim S. For the same size of front wing on my older Starboard SLR, the new 550 needs less wind to start flying. And is more unstable horizontally in low speed. In the beginning I feel like a beginner, but after half an hour I feel safe, and begin to push the foil. The conclusion is clear, more fast, more stable. This foil needs an step higher in terms of control, but the performance is amazing. With 12-13 knots, until my mates with foil slalom can't go faster than 24 knots, I go on 25-26 knots easily, all with 8.0 sail. And the quality and stiffness of the foil is impressive. Can't wait to test with 20-25 knots on my 5.2 Skyblade, and 450 wing!!!

Less stable in roll or pitch? (side to side or front/back)

In pitch. But the stability increase when you go faster.
I have finally received mine today, hopefully is windy on Thursday and I will have chat to try it. Please share settings it will be useful for all
Did you see the Patrik video about Aeon:
?si=CoDwnXM16k6plUty
I am a little confused
At the end of this video (1.11.55) a statement is made that the foil in this presentation will be available towards the end of 2024,
My question is what model did Xavier and Kasper recently take delivery of ? same same or an earlier version ?
Xavier what did you receive, please enlighten us

Awesome , that makes sense
Best tech video i have ever seen on windfoils
I have had the foils for a few months now.
I have two masts, dim S and DimXL, two fuses, V1 & v2 both in ti, front wings I have 900 M and 650 and 450 both in the H version. I have both stabs. Someone pointed out that is 72 combinations and that is before you start shimming the stab.
If anyone has specific questions I will try to answer.

How much difference does the mast stiffness feels between those 2 masts?
what board are you sailing the aeon with?
I just receive my Patrik foil. The stiffness between DIM M and DIM S in term of flexion si the same. But the DIM S in terms of torsion is much stiff, and is 1.5 mlm thinner. Respect the feelings of the foil, comming from a Starboard SLR foil, is a little but unestable longitudinally at low speed, more much lift than Starboard, it floats like a much bigger front wing. And obviously much more stiffer. In one session I feel confortable, and begin to push it. And is amazing how fast is this foil, compared with my mates on the water. Until my mates are sailing at 22-23 knots top speed in 12-14 knots, I was sailing at 25-26.5(topspeed) all with 8.0 sails.
Respect the setting for me are the next, in Patrik Foil Race 145:
Front wing 550, rear wing 160, fuselage 100 V2. Shim at +0.75 and in the rear position. Rake 2.6. Mast base close to the maximum on the front.
Tomas Goyard goes with +1,0 shim and, and with light wind +1.5 shim. He advice me to begin with 2.8 rake. Michele Becker use the same shims, but with 3.8 rake. Other sailer in Switzerland goes on 3.6 rake on 450 front wing. That's all info I have. I can't wait to test it in higher wind with

Sorry!! I repeat part of the same info on a previous post!
Do any of you know the screw lengths of the Patrik Aeon foil? I'll probably get my foil 2 days before the vacation and I'd like to know if I can use a few spare screws from my phantom foil.

I would not like to say the difference in feel is pure stiffness but rather Stability. It is obvious that something smaller in the water is going to give less resistance but it will do that in every direction ie there is less lateral stability. the difference on the water is that the "S mast" feels a bit more lively.
I had Patrik Foil comp v2 in 85 and 78 and the foil move and now I have the new v3 in 85 and 73 (not used the 73 yet).

Which screws are you talking about? They come with all the screws for the foil its self and then you just need the screws for the board and that will be unique to your board.
you have to pull the front end of the fuselage down (into the direction of the board), when you want to fixate it on the foil mast.
otherwise, the front screw in the fuselage will open a bit.
I heard that some of the Patrik riders are going with the 450 front wing & 8&9m sails. Not racing but showing that it can work. I'll have to wet the 450 next windy day
AEON paired with FoilRace & GT3 Foil sails are perfect
I got the F4 400 to fly in ~8 kts with a 9m sail over a year ago... fully expect the new Pat 450 to have more...

It works without problems. The 450 with v2 fuselage have lift enough to fly from 13 knots with 8 meters sails(full cam). It's possible to sail with 10-11 knots with a lot of pumping.
I just bought a Patrik AEON foil V1-TI, 750, 650 and 550 plus 190 and 165 Stabs. Haven't tried it yet, but it would be nice if somebody will share their setups i.e. wind, sail, board, FW, Stab, fuse and shims. I'm 175 cm, 90 kg, intermediate skils. 91, 85 and 78 cm boards.Thx

I'm on the 0.75 shim and rear stab position. why did you choose those 3 wings, very close together. The 900 is really amazing.
I only have the 750 and 550 so far, but I'm considering the 650. But maybe they are too close? Thats also why I would like to hear what setup people use?
Glad U like the 900, but could U pls share detailes about your setup?

here are my settings. Red coloured are my personal shim-choice & angles, black PD Tipps what Patrik's team prefer.
I'm 1,72 cm and 77 kg.

Thanks???? can't see if sail size are hidden in the yellow fields of the spreadsheet?
