With North Windsurfing (Boards & More brand) apparently getting renamed Duotone, there is a rumour that the actual North Sails (Sailing) are going to launch windsurfing sails again

So apparently we can talk about this change for 2019 now
^^ reminds me of the 80s, riding my Cornish wave slalom n 6.5 wildwinds. Could sink it n sail along up to the bottom of the boom cutout. Slow motion freestyley kinda thing.
I doubt it. Boards and More used to have a much larger brand pallet which for example included F2. They used to produce boards for F2 and Fanatic in Germany. I think it was around 2000 that they decided to shift production to South East Asia and sell off their manufacturing.Cobra is a composite manufacturer. Windsurf boards is only a small part of what they do.Makes no sense for a company like Boards and More that specialises in sports equipment marketing to buy a composite manufacturing company.
Mark lent me his 90 odd litre quad that he built for half an hour or so at Corros a few weeks back and I must say he's done an excellent job.
The board felt very well balanced and being a quad set up it ran back up the wave face far better than my dodgy old knees would usually allow. The board felt bullet-proof and nimble (unlike me). It wasn't a big swell or very windy day (5.3 sail) but the board handled the conditions very well and gave me plenty of confidence that when a bigger wave came through I wasn't going to lose grip and spin out in the turns.
Great effort Mark!
Thanks Ken :)
Hearing good things about the new one, new owner has said "epic" so that's nice to hear
Might have to make something bigger for me now....
