Farrk the ocean is big enough for everyone lets just respect each other and get along with all the ocean sport users as long as your not scribbling on the wall at the front of my house your and you enjoy the ocean your alright in my books

didnt i read that kiters were also banned from sailing as the kite shadow was stopping some birds from nesting they think its eagles or some such i cant remember were but it seemed like a good idea at the time

The ocean is big, but many sailing spots are not. I quit kiting myself because the footprint was just too big for comfort.
Some places are fine. I've had no dramas at all at Currumbin, as there is enough space for all, but there is any amount of potential for issues at tighter spots.
Maybe the Maui system of segregation is not such a bad idea.
It definitely works over there.
