This one's been waiting for repair for a couple of years. Finally getting on with it. Will be nice to have it back on the water.

Recently converted this 2015 JP Supersport to tuttle box after breaking a powerbox in it for the second time. Used basalt on this one.

It's because the file is too big, seabreeze has to shrink it to fit, and flips it in the process.

So I've shrunk this to 1000 vert pixels, Maybe would have worked a bit bigger, but this is OK.
Just check that it fits your screen when it's on 100%

Xmas present idea?

waterproof drone which floats and has submersible camera plus can fly in 33knots, also takes underwater shots and has a flip function if it lands upside down in the water

Hello I'm sideways too, phone post , just lay down when you look at the picture , ground the sheet or guts out of this Z fin as it had cracked right through the middle filled with cloth then resin but wish I had tinted it black but anyway it works and have a very expensive fin for very little cash it's a 47 so not a fin I would use much but drives you up wind like centre board , I hope these post are making the cat happy imax
But yeah nice with the 9,5 and 140 Patrik, its a roughy

Trashed gear: I was out earlier this week on my 9.0 foiling. It was pretty decent wind, some foilers on 5.2 and people finning on 8.somethings so I had my outhaul and downhaul decently tight. Tricky wind direction on high tide which made the normally flat area protected by a sandbar actually a big choppy, as the wind pushed through the opening in that direction.

Was making jibes, but noticing how tricky it was at the point of the sandbar because of the outside swell meeting the reflected swell (that normally does't get a reflection in other directions). My foil was getting pushed around by the swell quite a bit at the point, making it a bit squirrely. During one of the jibes I got stuck a bit downwind due to the swell pushing the foil and fell lightly on the sail foot closer to the mast. But, it was enough to totally blow out the clew.

There goes 9.0 #2. Think I sourced another used one to get my klutzy paws on. Been riding the smaller 7.0 foil glide in the meantime.

Dont you have sailmakers in US ? It would be easy to replace the panel and reattach the clew

And here is my first run at LG : straight into the spit sand bar

Ouch

Yeah I've had a few recs but haven't checked them out. The second hand sail is also really cheap so I can have a backup.

So would Mike.
I've got one outside just like that but in one piece, it's been going for ages, but the adjustment holes are starting to wear out. Pics coming later.
later is now.

So on the right we have ancient multi fixed boom. Different version boom arms, head converted from screw on to glue on. left side tail piece bandaged.
On the left we have Saturday's boom break, at the bottom of which, very hard to make out is a pair of one eyed sunglasses, yesterdays break. At the base of the right boom my trashed helmet from a fortnight ago.

And last but not least. The pic Waricle took to show me the damage caused by helmet and glasses absorbing the shock, of the boom hitting my helmet during a failed water start.
(Should I trim my eyebrows? Waricle was going to cut them off so he could stick a bandaid on. It had stopped covering my face in blood so I said no, leave my brows alone!)

It was another fantastic 2 days at Lilacs, wind didn't stop, direction very close to ideal. Water level about right.
But while everybody else was busy getting PBs, I was busy breaking stuff.
www.gpsteamchallenge.com.au/ look for Sat 25 and Sunday 26
I count 25pbs here for Sunday, and of course most of Saturdays PBs have been wiped now, but there was also a bunch then.

Northern hemisphere hit by cold high pressure system from the north. No wind and temperatures above zero for two months. Not likely to change in the near future.

Any tips or prior posts about that? I imagine I have one in my future. Can't imagine the boom head is going to last forever being a plastic bendy hinge but the rest of it seems fine.

And my vote is a yes on the trim unless they help you sense doorways in the dark.

By head, I meant the original chinnok head where the arms screwed on. I went through two of these, then they became unobtainable I'm guessing because they all broke. So I joined the two arms together, with carbon tube, and fitted a standard head to it.

So first find a head you like, then modify boom so it fits.

This is an option with the latest break. It's impossible to fix the actual break, it's right up against the head, So there's no room for a bandage. But if I cut both arms back behind the worst of the curve, I could make a whole new section to join them back together.
But and it's a big but, I don't think it's worth the effort, I'll just buy a new one this time.

No luck involved, I always wear a helmet, if nothing else, it keeps the sun off my bald spot.
But it may have been lucky I didn't wear the old broken one, I did the day before, when conditions were less extreme.
I haven't got a GPS holder in the new one, so it was tempting to wear the old broken gaffa tapped one.

No all carbon but they also do a carbon/dyneema one which is why *now* they no longer export from USA, ALL products by Textreme. Military use of one product means all are prohibited for export. Yanks are weird.
A real pain and why i snapped up this roll when i could
Anywsy just 200gsm carbon but the flat-tow takes so much less resin it is considerably lighter and stronger. I guess at sbout 30% less resin in that bottom lam

I used some Chinese flat tow csrbon years ago and it was ok. Hard to work with. This stuff made by the inventor of the flat tow tech is just soooo much better. Laser or plasma bonding on the fibres so it holds together but no binder or extra sewn in fabric thread thingies. Really impressed

Technically you can, but the approval process is a bit of work. They must have decided the loss in revenue wasn't worth the effort.

But yes, we are weird.

That's nice to see!
Textreme comes from Bor?s in Sweden, it is a small town with roots in the textile industry.
I used to spend my Christmas holidays in Bor?s as a kid. :)

(I now live about 3h drive from there)

Its a sad day when we don't even bother hanging it on kiters. Remember when people used do draw spotted shorts on kiters ? Those were the days.
Have we all turned sad and taken up wingdinging?
Next we wear spandex and ride bicycles in colours that make us look like we're sponsored.
