Well, that volcano windsurfing sure is hard to top... wow.

For me, this one is easy and hope it is OK for a non-Aussie to share. Lofoten, northern Norway in May 2011, about 250 kms north of the Arctic Circle. Just spectacular. Think windsurfing in a Lord of the Rings landscape.

And about Lord Howe Islands being a little cold, well...

i once windsurfed inside an active volcano, on the molten lava.

How is this possible you ask, how did I not die? that's because i am so TUFF. How did my equipment not melt? that's because I am so cool.

Abu Dhabi at Yas Island beach at the end of Feb this year. Perfect breeze but really average and old rental gear. Lots of fun for a while though. My next spot would be Fiji 25 years ago on a One Design board on the coral coast - just in a "lagoon" in from the breaking waves in front of a resort.

since we are moving from places to events.

am I the only one who has gotten sea sick while windsurfing?

Not whilst sailing Gesty, but if there is a greasy swell I do get queasy when surfing if I have been out for 2-3hrs.
