Keep the dream alive...

End of the day finished with a BBQ at speed hq. Everyone grinning after another solid day on the water. Slightly less wind but flatter water and slightly better angle. A lot of competitors improved on their nautical mile speeds.
Forecast tomorrow for 20-25 again.
Happy days at burrum
Day 3 at burrum and it's ground hog day. Blue skies with scattered clouds an squalls out toward Fraser island.
Bom forecast holding at 20-25 but hoping we might get a little more today if some good squalls push through.
Had some new competitors join the Frey yesterday.
am unable to upload photos from my laptop as no internet dongle.
Here's a couple of pics (stills from video) on Day 1:

Nice pictures Andy, that was my pb run shame Vando slowed me down.
Yeah thats me going against the flow, but Burrum Heads mob
has right of way.
Wind has really kicked in now. Solid 25-30 out on the run. Waiting for the tide to drop. Channel 7 joining us today at the event and out on the speed bank. Course set to open around 1pm
Looks unreal! Half your luck, Well done on the Cytstal Ball weather predicting for best winds ! couldnt have timed it better!Jelly bags I'm not there!...
amazing how much more wind you guys are getting just 2+ hrs North of the Sunny Coast!
We ended up missing channel 7 today. They were in town covering the tornado recovery effort and ran out of time. They will try for tomorrow or 1 more day after that.
We got a mixed bag wind wise. Started off howling but gradually eased as the day went on. A squall came through at the end. Averaged 15-20 most of the day. Got a few 20+ gusts at the end and then the wind died. A few had a long walk back and others got a lift on the barge or one of the boats.
Finished with a BBQ at the burrum sands which is still in progress.
Was a hard day for the crew on the water. Changing conditions but dead flat runs for 1-2 km.
Saturdays results proving hard to beat.
forecast for tomorrow holding
Lots of happy faces. Plenty more photos today so I will try and get them online via an alternative connection. Seems to be a lot of go pro footage to come also.
4 days to go with the comp and it's fair to say we've been lucky. It just keeps blowing.
Thanks Andy and haircut for the awesome photos. They look great!
Day 4.
Clear blue skies today. Currently a light breeze coming off the land.
Forecast for today from the bom is 25-30. So has picked up a touch from yesterday.
looking forward to seeing what today brings

Cheers,
Dylan (posting via Kelie's account) at Burrum.
Pull ya finger out Vando ! Just because half your leg is hanging by a few tendons and a bit of gristle doesnt mean you can't do 50 knots !!!
Great photos Andy and Haircut.
In case anyone wants to know, Haircut's photos in order as follows;
Briefing time
Rissole* launching
Michael Brown
Brad Cawthorne flying down the run
Me
Firiebob (this is a cracker of a photo Haircut)
Mr. Greenleader forgetting to gybe around the front end of his rig
Sailpilot flying down the run also
Had a brilliant time and catch up with all. Thanks again Justin and Windwanderers (and huey) for making the first 3 days a memorable one. Disappointed I couldn't stick around longer too.
*Sausage's younger but slightly bigger brother
sorry - all of the pix colours will probably look off if viewing using a browser that doesn't recognise colour profiling (internet explorer doesn't AFAIK and firefox needs it turned on)
