Yep!

We just didn't want you to feel like you had an advantage by having 5 teams to our 4 teams.

Getting hot here - luv summer sailing [}:)]

Australia off to a great start (in the Windsurfing Ashes) as opposed to that other little known ashes event being played in Adelaide - Australia 3 for 11

Summer is starting to look a bit crap. Lots of rain and humid weather here now and forecast for the indefinite future. Dumb troughs ruining the weather. At least the garden likes it.

lol as if we could n't do with a mental advantage at the moment, minus 13degc last night at work in the vw t4. time for stage 2 thermal insulation. Looks like we may get a window of opportunity as we run up to Christmas, with the temps increasing a few degrees above freezing, with the blocking high receeding allowing a more mobile atlantic pattern to get a temporary foothold. Most speed strips here may be playable for a time, but the snow risk will be on the increase as atlantic flow runs into sub zero continental europe air.

an exciting final series on the cards .... congrats to the series 4 aussies for grinding out a great victory!

No doubt if this was footie ...Kato would be on a months loan to the Speed demons

From news reports its all over for the Brits for December unless we allow either ice sailing or they band together and go to Aruba or somewhere like that.

It used to be cheap - like £50 each way. Now though they charge you to book the ticket, turn up at the airport, prove you have booked a ticket at the airport and money for each bag and thats after you have paid for the ticket! I booked a ticket to Spain last year - it cost me £20 for the actual flight, by the time I had added all the extras on it was £180!!!!

Back on topic, the westerly winds are all we need, but they keep being forecast a few days away and never actually arrive, its been like it all year now with the decent forecasts never amounting to much apart from one or two. I even have a nice new pair of palmless mitts ready to stop the hand burn in the -10deg windchill. Just need some wind.

Well I don't think this is fair, I think we should declare December "rained off".

Perhaps next year we should start a month earlier?

"We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months days of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land, and air wind, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny skilled and polished force, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable British winter of human crime That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, this ice and cold, victory, however long and hard the road speed strip may be"

...or "iced off"
The Croatia boys were out sailing in the snow this weekend and the Japanese teams were also out.
Respect.

I shoulda thunked of the idea earlier so we could run it over a full year like GPSTC.
We did have a windless winter & they were 2-0 up!

It might not be wagering for sheep stations, but it is....well, important - it's 'The Ashes'
