I have got half my order; got the 4 Mini last week. The other half of the order, the 4 LCD units, will be shipped soon, I am sure.
I'm laying low while the few remaining late devices leave. There's a complete disconnect on what I read here and how insane I found the year to have been. Nearly all black line devices have been replaced, the Mini queue is cleared, the european LCD queue will be cleared in two months, the inventory of parts is built for six months to come, I'm going back full time January 1st, very very few real issues, users seem happy with them, I see plenty of them in use live and that's awesome. It's by far the best period so far. And way bigger than I ever expected it would be.
Tell you what, it's like I finally got a boost to the morale these past few days/weeks from seeing devices in use at different competitions. At some point, I started wondering if people were really using them because there were so little live action visible.
When I made backup devices for Bloodhound LSR, I wouldn't believe the engineers telling me they were working fine and they had nothing special to report. It's a little like that.
Luckily there's plenty of live images/videos right now.
Thanks for your persistence Julien. The LCD and Mini are great units. I've had trouble free use of both units. I'm looking forward to the firmware upgrade in the LCD unit.
Thanks for all the effort Julien. I received my screen Motion back in March 2019. I have used it for every speed session for 2 1/2 years. It' s worked perfectly every time. I also have a couple of minis which also work perfectly.
Hate to put a downer on this. But I've just bought a renovated GW60, because the old one is so close to dead, I don't think it will last until my lcd motion arrives.
Thanks for your continuing updates on production, parts, supply status Julien, and it is fantastic to see photos of the worlds top speedsters using the LCD motion at iconic speed sailing events.
The guys requests in the posts above weren't knocking the product but asking for an update on the shipping of last years LCDs orders to Australia. Its great the minis are still coming and that the European backlog will be cleared in two months but could you update us on your note of 18th October on the Australian parcels of LCDs that were ready to be shipped?
thank you
Derryn
Hi Julien I'm not sure what's happened I have tried to email you , I am in Australia and haven't received my order of 2 X mini loggers
And 2x lcd
Thanks for confirming the program Julien, that's great to know 7 LCDs were sent last week. @NP RGSD, Julien might not know who you are by your seabreeze user name, but you should be in the numbers above if your payment was last October like mine.
Let's see how the shipping timeframe goes with these current parcels, I have one parcel of minis on the way that left Belgium 23 October, hopefully with Australia now reopening it's international borders, there's more flights in next weeks/months carrying small freight parcels
There is a 3rd option

Then you can just complain to yourself why it takes so long to get bits and pieces.
I ordered a plastic junction box's 2 months ago for the DIY, I'm expected to get it mid December (they haven't said which one yet).
Hat's off to Jullien, he is just one man, trying to provide a quality specialized device (in his spare time) for a worldwide community with all the crap going on in the world. Try to remember that.
Derryn's parcel-on-the-way contains Minis. The very tail of the LCD queue, as they all post here anyway, is Derryn, Mickey, Byron (lost device).
My $300 Garmin watch was purchased in 2017 and has been on my wrist almost 24/7 since. It gets used for running and at least 2 swims a week as well as my less frequent windsurfing. I could walk into a shop today and get a replacement if it failed (as it is well beyond warranty). Still holding 7 days of battery life when not using GPS. Has a screen to give me feedback on my activity and uploads via bluetooth without even touching my phone just by stopping the activity. It even tells the time and my HR plus many other things. Only issue I have had is the little clip that holds the excess band broke (out of warranty). I emailed Garmin and they sent a replacement at no charge.
Yes Vosadrian Garmin do make great watches. They employ 16,000 people, but not one of those employees is able to program any of their products to the required standard for high speed windsurfing. So the comparison to the Motion is meaningless.
