Perfect! Low tide at 1pm on the peak of the wind. Aiming to hit the water around 10am.

Not very often I have said it was 'too windy'! But I think it was this time. At least for me anyhow.

But SOOOO much fun!

It is still VERY windy here today but now NW. Sat and watched for quite a while and thought, OK, if I don't try I won't know.
Very gusty 25-30Kts with bullet gusts to 40+.
Pretty good angle for the car park bank, but naturally a bit bumpy at that angle.

Driving along the bank:

Wind readings:

Had a few runs and got a 37.5 2 sec, but all the wind was at the very start of the bank. After that I was in the turbulance of the trees and sand dunes and it was soft and gusty.

It looks like a mother speed day at Sandy Point tomorrow (Wednesday). Much the same wind pattern as Monday but with less strength. Should be 25-35 rather than 35-45. .

Low tide around 2pm so should be good tide conditions until 4pm.

The wind is forecast to win to WSW between 7am and 11am depending on the forecast model. I think it should be good by midday.

I hope I am not alone!

Yeah, well ........... OK. I piked it.

6 deg C and hailing from every cloud bank. Wind went perfect speed ngle and 30 knots early arvo. I watched for a while - on my very lonesome, and thought, 'stuff it' in front of the fire sound better to me.

Think it will be deadly in 40-50kts.. level is too high..0.4m..needs to be more like 0.28.. Might be ok before it gets much over 25kts..probably more protected in a S but also gustier..Plus you have to get across that #@ channel.. I need my 4.6m mast!

Nup, Mandurah has no where that will handle that wind strength and direction, if the forecast holds we''l be going to the top end of glory holes.

Cheese graters isn't Mandurah, and I doubt there's enough water there yet, besides N, Leschenualt is much more user friendly. and only a few Km further.

Tide look high which should work well as the wind will blow a lot of it out/down the inlet. Will see you there Mike. Might be 3 of us OMKers. I'll get to try my speed board for the first time, woohoo!
