Click on any run, see it on the map. Track will always show but backgrounds will only be available if Motion is connected to an internet-providing WiFi station.

Update : I'm sending the first five to different users in Europe (because cheap overnight shipping). I'll make more until Monday and if all is fine, I'll ship then.

Opinions welcome on interfacing :
- one short button press shows the device is alive, LED blinks the battery status, 3 times red : < 20%, 3 times green > 80%,
- two short button presses does nothing, to avoid missclicks,
- three short button presses starts WiFi, LED stays green,
- four short button presses does nothing, to avoid missclicks,
- five short button presses shuts it down, LED goes red briefly,

- one very long button press (re)starts it in WiFi safe mode, LED stays red,

- placing it on a charger blinks the battery status as above every 5 minutes.

sounds great, what if battery is between 20 and 80% ?

I wonder if the battery status when charging should blink every 10 or 15 seconds so you can easier tell if it is charging?

powersloshin > there's intermediates like two red one green and one red two green.

sailquik > LED in a dark room is quickly annoying. And the charging pad also has a permanent LED. I don't know, it serves no purpose really, if it was charging when you placed it, there's no reason for it to stop until done.

General convention (say your phone, or a GT31) is:
- If it's off, Long button hold (3 sec) to turn on
- If it's on, Long button hold (3 sec) to turn off

Would this be better to reduce wear on the button (ie 5 clicks is a lot)?

The single short press for a "status update" sounds good.

Makes good sense James, and we don't need to think how many times we have to press, it should be instinctive to most of us.

Long to start, long to stop, short for status, very long for safe mode, what about WiFi ?

What is the use case / situation where you'd need to enable or disable wifi? Is it a battery saving technique? Is it something you would need to do after each session, or just sometimes?

Yes, it's always off. You need to enable it to retrieve your logs.

Am thinking you must be getting very close to the final format now Julien. Hope no new issues have raised their ugly head! (Apart from the BIG C. )

No I'm just waiting a document from a certification company before I ship them by air as five units per parcel. I got it today but it lacked an important mention so tomorrow probably. All's fine.

I've got the certificate and the last license I needed. Teams who need to send band colours, who need to change something, who need to complete their payment, please reach out to me now as I'll start shipping. Thank you!

sailquik > teams ordering 10+ could prepay half and complete later.
elmo > the small ones. The LCDs are coming too, I made the first few.

I noticed now that AUD-EUR tanked. 99 EUR is 180 AUD instead of 160 AUD at the time. Teams can complete payments at 160 AUD / piece but new orders will have to reflect the new exchange rate.

Probably. I like to sleep in.

But I had already specified the band colour weeks ago.
