will do swoosh.

east coast lows are notorious for doing whatever they want so it may end up pumping or it may end up light. I'm not bothered either way because I have a big board for 5-10 knots.

the tide is not as good as it can be. high tide is at 9.30am so i'll be doing the early morning run. saving grace is that it's not a big tide so the water won't be moving around so much. I'm not massively comfortable with the idea of sailing there on an outgoing tide with offshore wind so the earlier I get there the better.

I think everyone should give it a bash. there's a bunch of sunny coast guys that put their gear in the shed over winter. bust out that gear!!!!!!

what was the headline I read in the goldcoast paper over the weekend...

"the endless summer"

p.s. if you really do like to snuggle in front of the fire place while eating your bacon and eggs and drinking coffee then you can at least watch the action on the bulcock beach webcam.

dunno how keen you guys are but I'd like to try just up from the groyne at kings after lunch time. most likely go out on the sup with 5.3m

depends on swell size and amount of angry surfers in the water.>???

try and find a park at merrima ave.
peter nitschke might be keen.

am even considering a downwinder to kings on the sups.

lookin good.... BOM forecast

Winds - Southwesterly 15 to 20 knots decreasing to about 10 knots during the afternoon then increasing to 15 to 20 knots during the evening.

Seas - Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning.

Swell - Southeasterly 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to around 1 metre during the evening.

that will give us 1-2ft waves rolling through with cross off winds.

Thinking I might come along as well with the sup and couple of surfboards and a heap of kids.

This sounds very interesting to me, it so hard to find cross off down the line conditions around here! What time would be the sweet spot i wonder?

hi windislife,

seems the forecast is moving away from us a little. bit of a double edge sword, the more the forecast wind drops the nicer the surf forecast looks. more wind means smaller surf.

around high tide is the worst for the surf. some of the local guys that know it better than me think low tide is best. I've had some great sessions at mid tide. the banks all have their time at different tides.

take the big gear just in case is my thought.

Hmmm I'm undecided.. Im up the north end of the sunshine coast & the biggest I got is 92L & 5.4m. What time are you thinking? What about Maroochydore river mouth in SW'erlys? Anyone sailed that one? ;)

Maroochy is fun in NE. The wave are good out back where the water is dark blue in this pic.

pincushion is on my short list for the NW winds in September.
stummers creek short list for North and North East.

I've spent a few weeks trying to identify all of the cross offshore spots on goldy and sunshine coast. now it's just a case of working through them.
