Last winter I was blown away by the water clarity, sailing yesterday over the reef could see everything on the bottom... once these onshore winds stop it should be amazing.
must agree with mkseven... had some amazind days on the east side of the wello spit, but not funny when you stepped off your board when you can see the bottom only to drop into 2m of cold water. Bloody clear!
agree, wello is wicked in winter. can't get enough and pretty excited about it.
my memory of last year were the 60 people that turned up to take advantage of the bank and the tricks haircut and crew were pulling.
one day it seemed everywhere i looked someone was doing a forward loop.
should we all meet at the cafe tomorrow
i have leave.
Is the cafe at the end of the spit there, with the car park?
(Sorry, I can only do forwards sans board)
Oooh yeah. Not a lot of wind but it may be the only wind for the weekend so can't say no. It'll be wettie weather....
That loop clinic vid is interesting Gesty. They forgot to put the sock on the mike though. Its interesting that Matt doesn't mention pushing the rig across your bod before sheeting in like Jem does.
See you guys out on the water somewhere...............i hope................be up you way from GC to Burrum on the 8th until mid June so hopefully will get a sail.
Ooh ooh, can I come to Kirra too? We talking small surf or some kind of lagoon?
Hang on, my sail might not be big enough, looking at the graph .
Oh goodie some wind coming.
Looks like an early Start Sunday morning High tide around 9.00am.
I like the bom forcast better
Saturday: N/NW winds 15/20 knots, increasing to NW 25/30 knots in the evening.
Sunday: SW winds 25/30 knots, decreasing to 20/25 knots in the afternoon.
good to see the chairman back from his self imposed imprisonment on the farm.
(three years of missed work to catch up on)
wherever you went mr chairman i hope it was windy cause it's been blowing haircuts nipples off here.
good to see your back on the circuit.
