Anyone tried and of the 3di sails with an Ezzy mast? I've quite happily cut down to only three masts of the same diameter and really don't want more, but am really curious to try these sails. Or does anyone have data on what masts the 3di's have worked with to cross reference?

If you are going to spend that much in a sail, you should pony up for the matching mast.

Better yet, just get a new Ezzy to match your mast!

I've used North Wave 4.7 for one month with both Severne Red and Blu mast 370. Now I've the North Ultimate wave 370 and 340. In my opinion North Wave sail works very well with both mast in particular the Red mast. The main difference with the north mast is that with the Severne mast you will feel a little more pressure on the front hand, at the same time you will find a super early planning and also an high performance in overpowered condition. With both the 2 mast the trim of the sail is the same. With the North Ultimate wave you will find a more soft feeling, and a little more balance feeling (less front hand pressure compared to SV mast), maybe also a little less early plannig, example in freestyle mode.
Hope this help.

I've tested a couple of time my new North Wave 3.7 with a new North Ultimate wave 340. One day I was in Garda Lake in 4.2 conditions so I was a little bit under powered, the other day I was in Tirrenian sea in stormy wind 30-35 knots, medium wave side off. Compaerd to my North wave 4.7 I find a little less range of use but the same super incredible performance in wave riding. Yes North Wave 3.7 is a pure wave rider machine. De power during surfing or cut back is so good also in most stormy gusts of wind, Simply you can push on the water the sail anytime. No matter the intensity of the gust of wind, you can do good surfing and push hard.
I love both but 4.7 has more range of use.

Thats good news they will work with other mast ,I'm waiting till March for the new no cam free ride free race sail ,
As a free rider the blow up cam seems to fiddly for me ,

Man, that looks really horrible ... it looks like the sail camber is reversed! It is the video or what?

This wing like shape gives you better acceleration and control,I've tried these sails and it's true! Aircam rotates so effortless.

And the handling is from an other planet!

It just looks wrong from the video ... and you have to admit: it is hard to see how a wrinkled, seemingly here and there reversed camber, should accellerate better ... or give more control ...

Yeah, everytime I see a post like that in this thread I wonder if someone is getting paid (in $ or gear) to post here or maybe it's the brand promotors unsure but it it appears a bit unbelievable by now.

Looks like:

1) Nowhere near enough downhaul (+ not sure what mast)
2) Not enough batten tension - especially foot batten (which ended up coming undone)
3) possible Aircams not inflated / fitted correctly ?

you can see the sailbody is loose at boom cutout and main sail panel behind the luff, and the one or two times you see the leech it appears to be very tight for a freeride slalom sail

The distortion from the camera makes it look worse not sure why the video looks like that (narrow angle of view but fisheye distortion)

Indeed, there were few members really sensitive to kite-related "usernames" in the WS group
Coming from WS myself too, then got into kiting, and now into wing/prone foiling, I decided to go for something more generic.

BTW, There is an X-Over 5.4m + Ultimate mast in demo at Surf Sail Australia in WA if you're keen to give it a go.

Yeah, wonder where that comes from I don't have an issue with other water users generally, but there's certainly a few dangerous people out there and not uncommon kiters but guess they must think the same about us.

Yeah, happy to give the sail a go and share my opinion about it. Will check with Mark next time I'm there.

Sounds good, let us know what you think!

I can guarantee I have no relation or whatsoever with people posting review on this and or any other group.

Curious to see how do you go with it!

Anyone know when the new model is available to order?

I'm keen to get a mast and 5.0m (but only the new model).

I've tryed only the Wave version (wave 4.7) not the free race sails, with the "wrong mast" .
