I don't like the way the Turbos are more race like these days.. or at least after 2020? I got them because they rotated effortlessly. My latest does have better low end grunt and stability but is harder to rig and takes more effort to rotate. It's not as user friendly to gybe or waterstart in chop.
I hope they don't stuff it up and make the Turbos more race like when they hybridise them.

Do you rig them on SDM or. RDM? A mate here uses the OD on RDM and they are a dream for him and he's a light weight too.
I've got some patrik 3 cam RDM sails coming. They have great rotation. Similar to the OD.

RDM. It rotates ok but requires more effort. As an old , small female I don't want to have to pop the sail around.
I suppose it's pretty good but you only had to get the earlier model up in the air and it would rotate back and forth depending on the wind. The rotation was good as a no cam .
With this one I have to give it a jerk in lightwinds.
I'm using the 7.5m in patchy 8 - 15kts and the 7m in patchy 12- 18kts so it's not like I'm out in strong wind.

They are also a dream ato DH. No tool required. Really surprised me. Prob not as light as a Severne but build quality is amazing. Some very nice details. I've only used the 6.2&6.8 and both behaved very well as expected.

Nice sails BSN ,any info on these as I can't see anything on the patrik site .

I've also decided on a change from a big name brand and have recently got Loft Switchblades , another 3 cam option

These are proving great on the water , easy to rigg and built to last but not the lightest
Appologies on hijacking this severne thread :)

They average out to 5kg over the sizes is that heavy in freeride sails? are you using 100% carbon mast?

Yes I tried one a few weeks back with Ben and a couple of his guys on the Swan. A number of us out, some with Turbos. I use Mach 5's. I used the 6.4 in a reasonable breeze. It felt very nice and balanced for a 2 cam sail. I could see it being a nice lighter option for a high wind sail, but I do prefer the stableness of a race sail. Everyone who rode it was pretty impressed.
