I'm the contact, but not organizing (well maybe I am)?

Briefing at 12 noon at the small beach-side car park near the Caravan Park. Racing no earlier than 1pm. We'll aim for figure of eight slalom racing in the bay if we can set marks, other-wise GPS format as discussed previously.

Forecast is good, with a solid easterly forecast all afternoon. Low tide around 1pm, so not ideal in the inlet, but at 0.5m should be plenty of water in the bay itself.

Izaak, if you're there early, can you and others from up north try to set the marks so we have them in place ahead of the briefing?

Sorry for lack of information ahead of this event, but we should get some good racing in tomorrow and Sunday.

See you all tomorrow!

Nice work, thanks Dave

Do the guys setting the marks have anchors to set the buoys?

Not sure, but if you have any anchors and/or marker buoys you could bring up, that would be good!

I'll bring one set just in case. Apologies now, I will not be around Monday. I have to leave Sunday evening so I will miss AGM if held Monday

Right so we have to course setttung under control with the ski so don't worry about that, course will be set in the bay due to tide being out and much more space, also a more traditional slalom setting. Figure of 8 if a lighter wind situation or if it pickes up enough to bear away we can look at a down wind course. At this stage briefing at 12 as mentioned, course will be set beforehand.
On shore logistics will be organized by old mate.... ?

Have fun

I got a best of 31.7. So you might still win, I was getting averages around 30 so it will be close.

Ant looks like we came in too early and missed the Tassie Speed Seekers photo, but we were there in spirit.

That photo of James dragging his hand along the water looks like the Mad Professor!

Do lay downs feel like they're killing your back guys? I've tried some but I don't think I'm strong enough to get the sail back up, seems to kill my lower back.
