Bakers might be better Thursday given the forecast is 25-35 not 30-45knots!!
I can sail for a half day between now and Thursday (Afternoon) and can sail all day Friday as well

Cape Grim's top reading today was 65 knots. I have been blown off my feet in 55 knots last year and that's without any sail square metreage. I can't imagine what 65 knots feels like.

I'm going to be heading to bakers, leaving Launceston around 10-11.

I'll be there most of the day or until I break something or my arms fall off. Both highly likely.

It was survival day at Greens beach ... but still heaps of fun ... sails from 3.6 to 4.2 were a bit too much

Geoff, Houston, Lachy and me sailing ... Photos by Tristan and me ...

Very disappointing day, as usual the boys in the north so desperate to get us up there give a false forecast.........................they reckoned it could get up to 25kt.........then tell us to stick up a 3.7m.....................well how pathetic is that.........as predicted Greenie didn't turn up anything over 15 is just too much, but as you can see from the pics it peaked at 15kt so Greenie you would have been OK

Whoever offended Huey did a bloody good job

You always pick the wrong days Houston! :p

- Onshore Bell buoy slop
- 40 to 50 knot Greens survival session

Try coming up for a Bakers session once in a while. Or Bell buoy on a proper wave day.

Looking at the BOM readings it might be an east Beach session today. Any thoughts?

Nice loop there H-man.....bigger than anything I have seen Greenie manage....and in 40 to 50 knots too. You can cross that one off the old list now.....what's next......

Hey Al, if you turn your head to the side , you would swear it was the same picture!! Nice photo shop work mate.
I know you are just trying to comfort the old egg farmer with another failed attempt!!
But it does look very impressive!!

Looks like we are all heading up to bakers after lunch

You missed a cracking day today Houston. How was Carlton?. Best conditions were early on. Sailed from 1030 to 3 at Bakers. Greenie,Felix, Luca,Mitch, and Murray turned up a touch late. Wind dropped to 25knts gusting to 35. Difficult to handle but some great wave riding.

Few shots from Bakers beach today ... as good as it gets on the North coast ... 25-40 knots cross-off wind with long clean overhead waves, with odd mast high ones ...
Hamish, Mitch, Felix, Murphy, Greenie and me sailing today ....

Great photos. Awesome sail. Doesn't tell the full crazy story of how windy but nothing ever does.
