wtf is going on?
@ 10:50am 25kts at pt wilson and 5 at fawkner! Has someone put up a massive wall to stop the wind getting to the rest of the bay? I reckon OB is at pt wilson anemometer at the moment with a fan

Not quite lol. Was down on the end of Pt Henry and got a cpl of hours in. Was gusting from 13 - 20 knots. Not real pleasant to sail in. Sitting in the water waiting for the wind to pick up so you can waterstart was a rather chilly experience lol. Still had a few nice runs.

seriously pissed

Had to leave the green point to have lunch just as it picked up.

Had been there from just after 8am watching the mirror flat water. How can the BOM cock up the arrival of a weather system by five hours when they make the forecast three hours before?

Had the best windsurf today. I got to rye after 12 and then the wind came up about 15-20 knots. And a few times I was over powered on my 5.4 alpha wave sail. It was such a awesome day. Super windy and not to cold. It does not get much better than that. There were about 10 windsurfers to 2 kiters. Wonder where everyone was?? good to see some of the inverloch crew there wonder what happend to crowman.

must admit tho it was a unusal day. I did a early wind check in the morning. I looked out me window while I was in bed about 7am and could not believe how still the trees were and it was real sunny. Amazing and still got to wavesail g i love victorias weather.

Windaddict your a gun windsurfer dude you pulled off some nice jumps. Hey see ya there next weekend dude that will make it our 4th week going for our record. And if it blows tomorrow i will be back in the afternoon. If not see ya next week end.

Yeah it was really good today, can't complain, nearly 3 hours on the water powered up on my 5.0...If we sail next weekend, it'll be a sail every week this month! Not very often that happens this time of the year....Just wish the water wasn't so cold so I could try some forwards...not very inticing to fall in at the mo

If there's wind next w/e, I'll be there again

I was there Kona - stood around scratching my arse from about 10-1pm waiting for something to happen. Decided to call it a day when everybody started packing up - there were plenty of sailors around throughout the morning - just a lack of wind. Left just after 1pm only to see the leaves begin to seriously flutter on the way back down the Nepean into the City!! Checked the Bay Winds page when I got back in and neary wept....lesson learnt....glad you enjoyed your sail.

EJ - did you stick around?
Salty - looks like you made the right call

It was a long wait but worth it in the end. Only downside was the webing that holds the mast plug on my sail snapped, resulting in a walk up the track from the pier back to the car park the wind was fading by that stage so not to pissed.

Pretty gusty at the top end of the bay (williamstown) yesterday with some big holes in the wind. It was like sailing in an ice coffee big M with the dredge doing its thing when you entered the shipping channel. I rigged a 6.6, went from underpowered to outta control (for me) on a few gusts.

Looking forward to getting a sail at rye one time then getting some waves on the other side.

Only just - about 1/2 hour after you left the wind started to come through. I was out for a while on the 6.5m until it got too strong and i was out of control. A combination of the wrong gear for the conditions made me head in. Was going to setup the smaller gear but decided to call it quits. Looked as though everyone was enjoying the stronger conditions..... if only you had stuck around for that extra 1/2 hour :)

I brought a 08 Ka Koncept 6.6 - 3 cam race sail last spring but i never use it. I did not even bring it yesterday. only brought one sail, one boom, one mast and board now thats what i call windsurfing.

I sail with only one sail most of the times now a neilpryde Alpha 5.4 on shore wave sail the best sail in the world. I love it, its me best mate

Still kicking myself. Went up to Lysterfield today on the MTB to work some energy out of my system - and nearly trashed a 5 ft roo half way round...cheered me up though!

awesome, mtbing a cool non wind sport. good thinking crowmen. i have not riding my giant atx 460 mtb for agers. i use to be out there every weekend at lysterfeild and riding around the dandenongs. i will have to get me mtb out of the shed sometime and head for the hills. use to love mtbing, i miss it abit

At the moment my second hobby is flying RC helicopters. I went down to the local oval and did some flying with me bro. i love flying helis as much as windsurfing its a LAMA V4 heli.

I think ya need a non wind hobby or you go nuts. I hate been stuck with weeks of no wind and have nothing to do.

Funny i saw the guy who runs vic windsurfing down at the oval with his van dune the week wich had starboard stickers on the side of it. i think maybe his son was playing soccer with the club.
