Nothing like a good rinse cycle, did the same to severne extension in 2m swell on foil. Didn't notice until rigging the next day. Was too distracted with bleeding face at the time. No other damage 
Not my year for aluminum extensions. Bent my 20 year old streamlined extension that has been through the rinse cycle more than any other extension I've owned and up until now was convinced was the most bombproof extension.
