Na I have been off the water lately as I had a pterygium removed from my eye. So I have these new sails sitting there and cant use them. Should be back on the water in a couple of weeks.
Got a look at the Brand New Goya Wave 84 on monday, here are some photo's, this board looks pretty hot, the graphics are typical Goya but the shape looks great especially for east coast conditions, a bit wider through the tail for our cross-on spots and heaps of rocker for the coming back in on the fun bits..
speaking of new gear... Just got a price for the '09 Evo 100 L.
Wood $2400 (7.4 kg)
Wood/ Carbon $2800 (6.5 kg)
ouch... this makes the JPs look like cheap boards. Makes me wonder how much the extra kilo is really worth the extra $400. Perhaps it would easier to get out a hacksaw and take off 1 kilo from the front of the wood construction board ;-)
Hey Stehsegler... you realise with a full esky sitting between us on the drive north we're going to have pretty darn close to a quarter of a tonne... and that's just across the front seats and not counting all the sailing kit in the back
You reckon the one tonner is going to be big enough
As for a board big enough to float you... put your faith in the lord, he loves you.
It says it right there on the bottom of your new happy clapper board !
Kev
Hey Steyseglar
you could save $500 by buying last years 100ltr as the shape is unchanged from 08 to 09.
