I have been riding the SF for winging (mostly the 780) and found it quite draggy. Tried the 999v2 and feels much better, even if the foil is larger. Really looking forward to the smaller versions of the ART.
Seems like an odd move from Axis, I feel they killed the SF with this foil. They market it as a wing specific one but I'm sure it will over-perform the SF on all aspects also on prone

Also, the low end of the 999v2 is insane. You don't get that behavior from the original ART that dropped suddenly as soon as it went below flight speed
I am very happy with my Art Pros but would like to get one of the v2s.
Can you guys compare the lift of v2 to that of ARTs or ART Pros?
Based on the area it looks like v2 939 is similar to Pro 1051. But of course unless you ride them you do not really know.
Looking for something similar to Art 899 or Pro 1051.

Yes totally. I tried the 999 in both 12 and 30+ knots. Felt I could have ridden a 650cm2 foil on the second day.
I'll settle for the 939 because I'm looking for a "do it all" foil.
like they've done withe the SF and ArtPro it is just a matter of months until they release more sizes.
I ordered the 939 yesterday. I expect it to do what the ART 899 does for me, but better. Like, I expect it to be a replacement for that. I'm usually on the ART 999 however, and logically I also want a V2 999. But I feel that it's going to be too close to the 939, even if it outperforms the ART 999 V1 in low-end. For that reason, I only ordered the 939 V2 in hopes they'll eventually launch a 1039 V2 or 1099 V2. I'd use one of those to replace my 999, since I normally use it for lighter winds anyway and I don't jump it. I do expect to the jump the 939 though.
Hmm but the 999 v2 got nearly the area of the old one also the span!? I wonder if the art v2 will be better than the konrad foils (look at the other discussion). Because few ppl there saying the konrad lx is the better art/spitfire.

I'm 83kg and I expect to ride the 939 in upper 10-15 with gust to around 18. One thing to really consider is efficiency. People often go by weight, or how long they have been foiling, but that doesn't always translate to efficiency. For example, I'll be on a V1 999 in 18 knot gusts and feel over-foiled while guys on bigger foils are complaining they can barely get up. That plays a big part in your foil choice. For me to be on anything bigger than a 999 it has to be because after getting that 999 going I'm having still pump a lot during the lulls to keep it going... not because I can't get up.

Man, I'm so frothy on the LX foils! I bought mine just before the ArtV2s came out and I'm totally happy I did. Maybe it's just the perfect foil for me and my riding, but I can't really think how it could get much better. I'd love some more people to put up their thoughts on the Konrad and see what they think too.

Or may be you really missed out on ArtV2. How would you know since you haven't tried it? It is totally fine to be happy about any foil but being happy about missing out on an opportunity to ride other foils and to compare... I am not sure.

I considered the LX as I don't particularly like the axis feel and supposedly the v2 predictably is definitely of the spitfire/art line.
I ended up ordering a proto Maguire which is axis compatible, will report back on how it goes, but I definitely am glad that smaller brands are making axis compatible foils

I don't really trust Axis reviews anymore unfortunately as I feel there are too many vested interests (pretty rife throughout the industry as a whole) however did watch one review where the outcome was that it was a reasonably good compromise between the AP & SF. Not mind blowing but OK for it's purpose. I'm in the position of wanting a new all round foil & am thinking I'll be investing in the LX when the wind picks up here soon.

Ah, thanks bro! Pretty good fun building stuff and the foiling community is pretty open and amazingly helpful in terms of building techniques etc I don't reckon there's many sports where you can contact the pros and they'll come back to you and chat away about designs etc I think everyone is foil brained and frothy :)

Yeah seems so, I got chatting, said they could make me one of their protos that I had borrowed, I really liked it so ordered one, but the test was too short to say much.
I had the chance to ride my 939 in 18 knots with a 50L board and a 362 tail. I was running GPS off my GoPro and according to the camera, I didn't surpass 24 MPH.
