Anyone hearing rumors of a Flux v2? Ozone has generally released annual updates and the v1 flux was released in May or so last year. Curious if there is a v2 coming this spring. More rigid leading edge handle, longer front handle, lighter weight, maybe upgraded frame materials would be amazing.

I know the Flow is coming very soon, but thats a different wing entirely.

Any insights on the flow Vs flux v1?

What top end are people getting out of the 3.6 and 3 and how much do you weigh?

I already have a 5.7 v1 and like it and am going to fill out the quiver with the v2 this summer. Trying to figure out if I go 4.3/3.5 or 4.3/3. Hoping to reserve the 5.7 for sub 15 knots, use the 4.3 as my workhorse (replacing OR Glide 4/5), and the smallest wing for 25+ (replacing OR Glide 3, which is smaller than I really need).

Posted in the Flow thread, but I have heard from Ozone that the v2 is coming in May/June and will have the longer front handle and stiffer LE handle of the Flow. Not sure what other changes it will have. Flow is going to be designed with more lift / sheet and go power and Flux will be more pull.

I'm around 85kg without gear and ride the 3m from +15kts up to around 40kts. It handles high wind really well.

I'm 78kg and 3,6 flux get me going really early. It has a good high end, but over 25kn I miss a 3m. Now getting the 4,3 Flow, maybe it can replace my 5m flux.

Sounds like the 5.7/4.3/3 is the right quiver for me. Roughly 5.7m up to 15 knots, 4.3m 15-20 knots, 3m 20+ knots (with decent overlap between the sizes). Very curious to hear comparisons with the Flow. From some early previews it sounds like it may have better low end than the Flux, but won't have the same upwind drive.

I had the same question and decided to go for the 5/4.3/3.6 flux

my original plan was 5.0/3.6 but the gap is quite big, so I am happy with the 4.3

I use 5.0 till 18knots
4.3 till 24 knots
3.6 22+
It will probably change when I get my Carver 95l
When it is really windy, I miss the 3.0, so I am planning to add a 3.0 to my quiver.
Today I was on the water with the 4.3 and the wind dropped to 15 knots and the 4.3 was still ok.
my weight is around 92kg

How do you compare the 5.7m vs the 7m cwc? I'm looking to replace a worn 7m cwc this year, but I'm hesitant to go that big again

Not comparable. The 5.7m is the solution from people who find the 6.5m span too wide but requires some skilled rider to get it going. It is not an easy wing to pump but, once on foil, it is one of the best wing in the market in terms of upwind angle, flagging on wave, handling for jibes and tacks and overall balance.
But in my humble opinion it is far from being an efficient light wind weapon. I might be a minority, but I find wings with more compact shape to have a better low end than the Flux as they allow easier pumping to get going without the risk of touching tips. In sub 10kt wind, I find way easier to get up on foil with a 6.1m XPS than the 6.5m Flux for example.
I think the new Ozone Flow will be a great light wind alternative to the Flux.

The Flux 5.7 doesn't have the same low end pumping efficiency as the CWC but in the right conditions it will get me up in 10 knots on a sinker board and it's much better to fly when up. Its heavier, but flys considerably smaller than the 7m CWC. Flagging, jumping or spinning the CWC felt awkward to me. These things all feel much more natural with the flux. It feels like a big performance wing, where the CWC felt like it was a big wing for mowing the lawn.

Hi, can you use Flux 6.5 as you first wing, 100kg and use 110l board?
