FYI sammy J
Dave muir was riding a stock standard out of the box 9'8x29 in tahiti.
second place was tama from tahiti riding a 9'8x 30, also out of a box.
Just to clear that point up :)

Scott I am keen to see some footage of Dave in the final have you a link to any?

Waterman site only has semi with no footage of Dave

Well there you go, Not for one minute did I think you would come on here and admit he does. I'll just have to take your word for it and stand corrected because you would know more than anyone through affilation with the brand.

Still doesn't explain why people are snapping them in small waves though.

I think Dave uses the Techtora?? (sandwich) construction which is way stronger than the tuffskin and classic??

He was when I saw him down south and in these pics cannot find any for the Tahiti win though.

Yeah looks that way Hilly, I love having no affiliation to anyone in the industry anymore, I can speak freely and be red thumbed. I'm spinning out how a few people that have recently taken up SUP have such educated opinions. Anyway I did look at the 10'3 sometime ago, nice shape just construction I question when spending $1800.
