You are probably right.
They're both injecting drug users though.
A few years ago a police blokey told me that he preferred his job when there was a lot of heroin around, he said speed use was right down.
Apparently now speed use is up in the absence of a steady heroin supply.
So, to summarise:
Keep it illegal: It's really bad for society.
Make it legal: Society isn't going to stop using, so reduce the impact.
Statistics can be made to say whatever you want, as can cost figures.
For what it's worth, I think this thread is in the moderation 'grey area' at the moment...
Agree.. go easy with the ol' banhammer and lock there green pat.
BTW, in answer to some of the earlier posts, in some parts of the world sex is banned.
My house for example.
interesting thread. I used to bag out injecting rooms until i heard the latest report that most heroin users only use for about 10 yrs & then the brain sort of switches off to it & they want to give up themselves .World wide studies have confirmed this & a lot of other countries are looking at the Australia method of harm minimisation as being the solution keep them alive long enough & they will get over it so we through sheer luck as this was not the reason they started it aids & contaminated needles scared the government into doing something have actually done something that's right .Most heroin users are recreational have jobs are well educated . lets face it the strung out junkie that's robbing old ladies is a tinny percentage of users it would not be worth it to import heroin for such a small amount of people let alone the mega million busts we see occur.EVERTHING is a poison to your body its the dosage that counts. I worked at pharmaceutical company making vitamins & i know for a fact the women's health vitamin had pure heroin added its not labeled as heroin as a pick me up ,the dose per vitamins is extremely tinny these are all natural products compressed into a vitamin tablet . But i personally would rather have that than the dessicated ox bile that goes in .Ive never tried the stuff .
My wife had a psychosis from smoking pot it was not fun i can tell you that right now that was 12yrs ago she stopped & i have never been through such a hard time as that the twins our first kids were 6mths old suddenly shes tried to burn the house down with everybody in it .Lucky i was home . Having to raise the babies quit work from night shift job get day care get day job be single father & still take kids to hospital every night to see her until she got out & that took a couple of months so that was a lot quicker than originally thought was hard. I had everything done by 4 days day care was the hardest had to have three day care centers to take them all week . My family didn't help i believe my mothers exact words were its my problem i have to deal with it myself . I did & did it well
i felt like u didnt breathe during this story. and my eyeballs hurt.
I would still help me mum but she probably wont need it thought.
Yeah sorry about that tgladman.
I didn't realise that would happen .
Far out max - that's a hell of a story. Good to hear you stuck it out.
16 yrs ago the same thing happened to my older sister after sharing a jazz ciggy with her. But then she is a bit of a freaky bunny at the best of times. Hasn't touched it since.
My mum (not my mum in law - that some of you lads seem to know well ) decided at the age of 62 she'd get all new age and also wanted to try a toke of wakky backy. Weird on about 50 levels.
Predictably it didn't go well and she freaked out.
Today's hydro super strain weed is not the happy buzz - bit chatty - social thing weed once was. It is a potent heavy duty high that is very much like a 'fix' the way it hits and it's no wonder there is addiction to it (psychological) and fall out from super adverse reactions.
I haven't tried Kronic (and won't be able to now it's illegal) but to sell it would have to be comparable in hit to hydro. To achieve that sort of whack from combining all sorts of guff you'd have to be worried what kind of noxious cocktail you'd be sucking deep down and holding in IMO.
K.I.S.S. should apply. The WA govt should go back to allowing 2 outdoor plants to be grown (not under lights) and give peeps who just wanna have the equivilent of a beer after work something to access and stay away from noxious chemicals, uber weed and drug dealers.
But then that wouldn't get instant votes (but would tie up the police force, courts and otherwise law abiding people) would it?
