I would say 500mil views shows just how hopelessly immersed in the new social media culture society is. Easy to amuse the populous with banal crap, maybe the conspiracy theorists are right.
Also the fact that everyone is now copying his dance style also shows how ignorant - he is taking the p!ss out of the rich / elder folk who can't dance (gangnam is where they hang out or a rich suburb or soemthing). The kids who are dancing like him don't realise they are dancing like how Psy reckons their parents dance. I guess the irony is lost on them. The would only understand if it was spelled iRony.
