Evl I'd love to reply about how I grew up on the coast and know it inside out, about today's news story how it's the mortgage arrears capital of oz (ie too many living beyond means/keeping up the illusion) but I'm done with this thread. Too much pushing sh!t uphill without a paddle. Too much effort not replying to marks final racist hook he's danglin. Too much brain explodey at the final incomprehensible twist from OP.

He is cleared of being a racist in court but the FA have their own trial and find him guilty!

Terry lost his England captaincy prior to Euro Championship,despite the criminal court case being held over till after the comp finished........guilty till proven innocent.

There is seemingly never any racism the other way.

No, no. We've come too far to stop now!

I suspect the mortgage arrears has come about because of the high number of people that live on the coast that either rely on a) construction and or b) tourism. Both of which have suffered in recent times. ie they were living within their means until the source of their means dried up. And of course tradies and tourists are hardly the Hollywood lifestyle.

I think that's what a lot of people are saying in this thread. It's often just better to ignore it. And it's often just PC zealousiousness... ness. Title is mildly derogatory, but this is a (mostly) Australian male sports oriented forum. It's not the BBC. And as you can see from the general reaction there's no actual hatred going on.
