True,

people seem to forget KRUDD was all about words and no actions. How many committees and public forums did he set up? How much came out of them? End result? A big waste of time and money.

- Signed Kyoto Protocol
- Withdrew combat troops from Iraq
- Apology to the Stolen Generations
- Ended WorkChoices (established a single industrial relations bureaucracy called Fair Work Australia)
- Two stimulatory spending packages
- Ended 'Pacific Solution'

Also
Proposed changes recommended from The Henry Tax Review. Especially sharing the wealth from the minerals that are in *our* ground. Mining companies put on some scary ads and effectively got him sacked (this is scary stuff worth its own thread)

Proposed changes to health care because it is pretty ****e right now. didn't get around to doing it before he was sacked.

...yeah, all talk no action.

His main criticism from within is that he is a workaholic and takes on too much himself. Like or loathe his policies you can't call him lazy.

Don't forget the opposition liked to block everything that came through. Parliament works like that. ie Liberal Abbot = "no. no. no. no."

^Hey Panda you forgot the 2020 Summit
PS - I love Mark Latham's quote from many years ago where he told Rudd that his rise through the Labor ranks was due solely to his popularity with ''people who have never actually met him''.

Who's "us" FFS. So you're a card carrying member now FS. Bull****. Your stick to your "no carbon tax", "turn the boats back" side of politics and vote for Abbott. Flysurfer, you're on the other side of the fence, don't pretend otherwise.

To not like that you'd have to be:

For pollution
For the war in Iraq
For stolen generations
Against workers
For the GFC
Against refugees

That's ...actually when I look at it that defines a pretty hard-core point of view. No?

woa - I think that is somewhat extremist Panda....for example some people may be of the view that:

- the Kyoto Protocol is not the best way for Australia to address co2 emissions.
- timing of troop withdrawal may have been wrong
- apologising for the stolen generations was too little too late
- workchoices ultimately will hurt the Australian economy through lower employment levels
- giving out free plasma's does not really help the economy much
- that the Pacific solution was a lot better than the current policies (how many have died now?

Right or wrong, a different view is not necessarily an opposite one......

In full flight eh loggy.

Labor is so credible these days. Best they could raise as a candidate in Bundaberg for the up coming state elections is a single mother bar maid.

No doubt she will get a lot of votes from the cretins who say:- "Labor is the peoples' party..........................isn't it???????"

It's unbelievable that you would look down your nose at a "single mother barmaid"! But then I think that says a lot .....about you. And yeah, I'm one of those "cretins" who believe the Labour party is the peoples party. Maybe all those hundreds of pay rises negotiated through the arbitration commission and then through fair work Australia were done just for fun????Maybe increases in Old age pensions, carers allowance, and the introduction of Medicare were done to make big corporate profits. D'ya reckon Shorten is staking his political career on a national disability insurance scheme cause he's into making the BIG BUCKS. Cisco, just because the conservative side of politics has no heart doesn't mean ALL political parties are the same. The Conservatives are just spruikers for the big end of town, always have been, always will be, Just look at the mining tax and the carbon tax. The remarkable thing is how many "ordinary" people they suck in into believing that doing things like giving ****loads of public money to rich private schools is in some way a good thing for the community. Anyhoo, Wasn't your glorious leader Miss Hanson a "single mother", and didn't she work in a fish and chip shop. Ah well, seems a bit funny to me that suddenly being described like that is somehow "lower class"

If I was a betting man I would place $50 with a bookie that one K.Rudd will not be the Foreign minister by Friday Week. He's become such a large boil on the arse of Labor that they've got no choice but to lance it quickly.

$50 on Rudd joining the Greens.

Brown will retire soon, Rudd will be the natural replacement. Then he can run the country again, except he can be in 100% control and take all the credit for everything that goes right, but accept no blame for everything that goes wrong.

Or, just to spread my loss

$25 he joins Katter's party in Queensland and wears a big hat. I am sure he wants the big hat again

And once again Loggy proves why the world is such a mess. Anybody who uses an analogy or figure of speech to describe someone or something is a discrimitory, rednecked, bigotted, racist so we get to a point where anybody who could make positive changes are too afraid to speak!
