I just found your answer to my question. ^^^
Thanks.

'Not very often' means you unhook sometimes, right ?
So, that means you need to tether yourself to your powerkite.
You don't need to concern yourself with my leashless system then.

If it's a controlled emergency,
I just pull the pin with one hand while holding the flagline-handle with the other.
If it's a panicked emergency,
I just do the same thing with a little bit more urgency.
lol.

When I take my pit bull for a walk I normally just let him run off leash, that way there's less chance I am going to get mauled.

All good if you have the time to first find your flag line handle, and
then find your QR. Trying to locate a QR whilst getting smashed is hard enough by itself, let alone trying to find two things while dragging/rolling/lofting.That extra couple of seconds could be your life.
But thats your method and the risk your willing to take and is your choice.

Just not sure how to grab both things when on the first loop you have a dislocated shoulder

Flagline handles are next to my hands on the bar. (Double flags)
QR is at the hook. (where else)
Can do it blindfolded or when I'm rolling under the soup.

What happends if you snap a chicken loop or accidental unhook...you have been kiteing awhile, I dont know anyone that hasnt had an accidental unhook/loop snap or accidently hit the QR .

Please show a pic of your handles right next to your hands,,sounds like a good idea,,Im interested.
Mine are about a foot above the end of my bar.Is this a mod you have done yourself?

When I ride my horse, I always tether myself to the saddle just in case he bucks me off.

Never snap my chicken loop. (by design)
Never accidently unhook. (by design)
Sorry, no pics.
Flagline handles right at the bar is my own design.

Maybe you should post pics of these, while you post on not wearing safety leashes.

If a newbe reads, and believes you,, and dosent wear a leash,
without doing all your extra special modifacations,, they might hurt others on the beach and risk beach closures.

Maybe some pics of your mods might help all of us stop useing death leashes and make kiteing safer for all of us?? Dont keep it under your hat

Your keen to make it safer and dont want people to wear leashes,,
Please show us how,,,,Im sure Im not the only one keen to try your method if its safer.
