Its too cross off really. For me its a strange wind angle to ride waves. Its really hard to stay close in the pocket and wend you angle down the line its the perfect angle for a speed run so you end up cranking superfast.
No its not me. I'm was changing kited down when this photo was taken.
load up your wave picks boys

Sounds like a perfect spot for a waveriding world tour stop then .
Yea gets like that down here mate at Peka in a cross off after a big onshore with a massive groundswell, have tried it 4 times, the first was a magic session the second was a sapped line and a kite recovery from 12 k offshore the third was a magic session but the fourth was the hairyest bloody wind spun directly off while about a k out took me a couple of hours to drag myself sideways a few k down the beach to make it in luckily it was spinning from cross off to off continually so managed to struggle all the way back.
After that we decided until we get a small inflatable we'd be best to flag it.
Nice pic plummet, how do you get in
Ride the gauntlet past the rocks, hopefully jump on a wave to push you along, hope like hell you get a puff on wind to take you past the bank that upwind and stuffs the wind up to land on the sandy beach down wind of this shot.
I learnt last week not to loop my kite on that wind angle when trying to get back into shore while riding a wave. It just slams you straight into the wave face.... doh!.
PS This not a thread about me. its about waves. Load up some cool looking wave pics.
Love those wild weather wave pics, if I can find some up in Townsville i'll post em. Until then hit me with some of yours.
A couple of epic Perth winter conditions from quite a while back. Haven't seen it like this in a long time...
i went to the goldy on the weekend, my first kite in probably three months.
was good to be back in the water... here is a couple from the downwinder i did.
Lets keep this thread going, i like looking at kiting pics while i'm at work!
hey man why you had three months off? Don't you get any wind this time of year? Surely the swell is at its best in winter?
Nice pics by the way.
well, winter usually means westerly's. this year i havent been as keen to chase them, and no daylight savings means my only kiteable days are the weekend.
lets see some more surf pics.
No razors up north either Matt?
Nice pics looks like fun your not missing much down here westerly and flat
Ok not an awesome wave pic. This is onshore mush. But a Very sweet 20km down winder. cranked it out in about 30 mins averaging 40kph. Sweet little chop hops and some highish speed action.
Not great but all I got. Beefarmer took this down south near Albany ages ago...only ones down there kiting and only met by chance!
Kinda looks like your barefoot. ... Tieside barefoot on a wave face.... that's some skill right there!
Yeh I thought farq it, who needs a board...lol. Think I was on a rebel 11m there...see how slack the lines were...lol
Need to get some more pictures hey....but I'm like you plummett generally kiting alone of with one or two crew...plus no-ones lining up to take pictures of us...lol!!!
I was lucky to have some photos taken of me by kitebom .com.au /Pics of some great waves 2hrs from Melb Vic On 8m Rebel
Hmmm a couple of small waves to keep the thread going, not that these waves compare to some of the above photos
